A clear trend I’ve noticed recently across Swedish IT departments: many teams are kicking off POCs to integrate Azure AI Foundry / OpenAI directly into their products. The issue is that these Microsoft services are still very new. There are very few developers who’ve worked with them in a real, commercial setting yet. For consultants, starting certifications and attending workshops now will give a huge competitive advantage when these initiatives move beyond POC, and into production. In this current, slightly unstable market, being proactive is critical.. Many companies are still hesitant to hire so be the reason they don’t need to hesitate!

A month ago I posted about creating our first fully sovereign Norwegian VM. Today, that VM has company. We now have managed Kubernetes running as part of Saga Cloud, and I’ve been running a production-like test cluster for three weeks straight without mercy. It’s been stable, predictable, and frankly a little boring. Which is exactly what you want from infrastructure. And we’re not stopping there. On the roadmap (and already under active development): • Managed Kubernetes (now live) • Managed Kafka • Managed storage in several flavors • Managed open-source databases (pretty much all the usual suspects) • And more services that let teams focus on software, not plumbing All of it: • Norwegian datacenters • Norwegian-controlled hardware • Norwegian-operated infrastructure • Norwegian-governed code and operations • Still fully sovereign, end to end And here’s the part I still find mildly amusing: Got a rack in your basement? A cage in a datacenter? Some hardware you already own? We can turn it into your own managed cloud. Same control plane. Same tooling. Same sovereignty. Different physical location. That flexibility is becoming one of Saga Cloud’s strongest properties. We’re still operating in semi-stealth mode, but the name is now official: Saga Cloud. And we’re opening for a small number of early customers who want to collaborate, shape the platform, and build something that is genuinely independent from hyperscaler gravity. This started as an experiment in sovereignty. It’s turning into a real cloud. Progress feels good.
