With support from the National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH), the project will explore how quantum methods could process large volumes of scenarios more efficiently under certain conditions, supporting faster valuation, improved precision and more scalable approaches to managing derivative risks over time. As Singapore’s national platform for quantum computing, NQCH plays an important role in enabling access to quantum computing capabilities and supporting public-private collaborations that explore practical applications of quantum technologies. 𝗡𝗤𝗦𝗣 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻💫 The National Quantum Office (NQO) hosted the second 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 (𝗡𝗤𝗦𝗣) Workshop on 5 June 2026, drawing strong interest from researchers, government agencies and end-user industry partners across Singapore's quantum ecosystem. Launched under Singapore's National Quantum Strategy, NQSP aims to accelerate the translation of quantum sensing research into impactful real-world applications across 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗣𝗡𝗧), 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗥𝗦), and 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗕𝗦𝗜). Following the award of five projects in 2025 from the first grant call, the programme continues to strengthen Singapore's quantum sensing ecosystem and foster collaborations between research performers and end-users. The workshop brought together local and international experts to showcase emerging quantum sensing capabilities and discuss real-world challenges and opportunities. Participants heard about advances in quantum imaging using entangled photons, quantum sensing using trapped ions and colour centres in diamonds, and superconducting photon detectors, alongside discussions on technology translation and deployment pathways. Building on the momentum from the workshop, 𝗡𝗤𝗦𝗣'𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻. Application guidelines and templates have been disseminated through the Research Offices (ROs) of Singapore's Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and A*STAR from 5 June 2026. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. Interested researchers are encouraged to reach out to their respective ROs for application materials and further details. By bringing together researchers, industry partners, government agencies and end-users, the workshop lays the foundation for new partnerships, new ideas, and new pathways for innovation in quantum sensing. Congratulations to our partners at Quobly on closing their €115 million Series A! 🎉 This is an exciting milestone that will help accelerate the commercialisation of Quobly's silicon-based quantum computing technology and bring its first systems to market. Through the National Quantum Federated Foundry (NQFF), we have been working with Quobly to establish a joint silicon spin qubit characterisation platform in Singapore. Together, we are testing and benchmarking Quobly's 300 mm FD-SOI qubit chips, creating a measurement twin between Singapore and Europe that enables independent validation and cross-benchmarking of device performance. This collaboration contributes to the reproducibility and manufacturing readiness required for future industrial-scale quantum processors. We are proud that NQFF serves as Quobly's first international characterisation platform outside Europe and look forward to continuing our collaboration to advance the next generation of quantum technologies.
