PPU UG semester IV exams from today; 88k students to appear

Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) has completed preparations for conducting the undergraduate (UG) semester IV examinations for the 2024–28 session, which will begin on Monday. Around 88,000 students will appear at 43 centres across colleges in Patna and Nalanda districts.PPU examination controller Manoj Kumar said the exams will be held in two shifts—9.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm—and will continue till June 25. He added that exams for students of the 2023–27 session who have failed or been promoted will be conducted on June 30 to ensure academic continuity.To ensure fairness, the university has deployed 10 flying squads to monitor centres and prevent irregularities. Kumar said he would personally monitor the process.In view of the ongoing heatwave, the university has directed centre superintendents and principals to ensure adequate drinking water, fans and uninterrupted power supply. First-aid facilities will also be available at all centres.Meanwhile, PPU announced that results of the UG semester II examinations will be declared on July 5. With this, all undergraduate semester exams will be completed within the stipulated academic timeline, Kumar said.
