Prashant Kishor is a poll-strategist turned politician who founded Jan Suraaj ahead of the Bihar assembly elections. Over the span of a decade, he has been instrumental in shaping successful election campaigns for key leaders and parties, ranging from Narendra Modi’s 2014 Lok Sabha victory to the state-level wins of Nitish Kumar, Mamata Banerjee, and MK Stalin.

After stepping back from consultancy roles in 2021, Kishor shifted focus to public engagement in Bihar. He organized a padyatra across Bihar, building a public mandate for his politics.

This culminated in the formation of the Jan Suraaj Party in 2024, with the aim of contesting all seats in the Bihar assembly.

Before embarking on his political journey, Kishor worked for several years as a public health expert with the United Nations, which contributed to his keen understanding of governance challenges at both micro and macro levels.
