The Indian Embassy in Muscat says it is facilitating the earliest repatriation of Indian sailor Nishanth Uirthanathan, who died aboard MT Celestial near Oman. Reports claim the 35-year-old officer fell seriously ill and passed away on June 11 after repeated requests for assistance. With no refrigeration facilities onboard, crew members reportedly used cold water bottles and plastic sheets to preserve the body. The vessel had previously been stopped and searched by U.S. Marines in the Gulf of Oman before being released.
