    I met Matthew in 2019 I didn't know then that we would set up a business. But we worked together for a bit and knew we had a great idea. We knew our styles worked. We knew we bought different things to the table. We know we had the same morals and values (one of the most important things!). Because we worked in SaaS we thought about a SaaS company. But the more founders and operators we spoke to the more obvious one problem became: Hiring great salespeople was far harder than buying another piece of software. We realised we could make a much bigger impact helping founders build high-performing GTM teams than adding another SaaS product to the market. So in 2022 we launched Cosmic Partners. And nearly 4 years later we've had the privilege of working with incredible founders, investors and sales leaders. We have been helping them build teams that change the trajectory of their businesses. Looking back at this photo from 2019 is a reminder that you never know where one opportunity might lead. I'm lucky to love what I do now! P.S. We definitely look a lot younger in this photo.

    10 weeks ago we hired a Marketing Manager. Most people told me to use an agency. But I ignored that advice. And something I've learnt is that one of the hardest parts of being a founder is knowing which advice to ignore... But from day one when we started Cosmic Partners I knew that marketing would be one of the biggest drivers for our growth. The vision was always to build an internal GTM function supported by external specialists for specific projects. And I knew what we were building. I knew it was WAY more than a full time job. And I knew the pace we looking to move at. So the decision was made to hire internally. And so Natasha joined us 10 weeks ago now and it's been awesome. It has validated that it was the right decision. It helps that our styles compliment each other. And we have already transformed the way we go to market and increased the pace of our execution. So I'm excited to share more over the coming months about what we've been building behind the scenes. So advice is great.... But sometimes you just have to back your own conviction (and hire well..). p.s I've always loved kick off's so here is Natasha and I having a little sunny H2 kick off lunch together!

    90% of people only update their LinkedIn when they need a job. That's a mistake. Because your LinkedIn profile isn't a CV. It's your personal page. It's your personal SEO and digital footprint and that takes time to build. So if you if your profile isn't optimised you won't appear in the right searches. People with cool roles just won't find you. So get the fundamentals right: - Clear headline - Banner that actually says something - Punchy “About” section - Updated roles + dates - Metrics + success stories - Keywords (SaaS, HR Tech, AI, Enterprise Sales, etc.) - Post content to show your expertise Coming from someone that reviews thousands of profiles a month I promise you it's all these small things that compound. Think of your LinkedIn as a website. The more relevant and credible it looks, the more opportunities come to you. Don't wait until you're looking for a job. By then it's too late and you're competing with everyone else who's only just started optimising. Build your personal SEO before you need it.
