I talked about crawler robots on industrial chimneys at a structural engineering conference yesterday. Turns out that's a problem more people in the room related to than I expected. I presented a case study at the Structural Faults + Repair conference in Edinburgh. A case study about a project we completed using GPR and Tomography on large concrete chimneys. A surface that most robotic systems can't handle. The questions afterwards were genuinely curious ones. People trying to work out whether this applies to something they're already dealing with.
