Want to pitch for new directly-awarded Government pilot contracts? Our good friends (and UK Tech Week co-organisers) Startup Coalition are working with the Government Digital Service, looking for startups who are making cloud and AI greener or more efficient. Solutions could come from hardware and infrastructure innovation, GreenOps and carbon attribution, and FinOps and unit economics. You can compete to pitch your solution on stage to VC and public sector tech leaders and win a government contract to deliver a proof of concept with the GDS. Applications are now open (see the link in the comments,) or drop Edd Elliott a note. Keep an eye out on the other interesting things that Startup Coalition are doing with their new Pipeline programme, connecting startups with buyers in Government.

📍 The road to UK Tech Week 2027 begins in… Next year’s edition will launch in one of the UK’s fastest-growing digital economies, with its tech sector expanding 125% faster than the national average. UKTW 2026 saw 50+ partners host more than 50 events across the UK. After launches in Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester, we're incredibly excited to build upon this momentum and kick off the week in another powerhouse for innovation. We’re also delighted that UK Tech Week will once again be co-organised with Startup Coalition, helping us connect regional ecosystems more directly with policymakers and ensure the voices driving innovation across the UK are heard at a national level. Leeds, we’ll see you in March 2027.
