We don't have any commission/bonus schemes at Zen Internet, freeing up our people to do the right thing for our customers and long-term business success. We have proven over many years that this approach, perhaps counterintuitively, is a great recipe for long-term commercial success, growth, and profitability. #bcorpDean Burdon liked thisYesterday at Ofcom we announced our largest ever fine under our consumer protection rules - £28m against Virgin Media O2 for repeatedly preventing customers from cancelling their broadband contracts A key part of our job at Ofcom is explaining how we are holding companies to account on behalf of customers so it was great to see so much interest in the story. It was an early start with the BBC Today programme followed by TV, radio and print media across the day. We don’t fine companies for the sake of it. As a result of our investigation, Virgin Media has made a number of important changes, including to improve its commission scheme, training and quality assurance and monitoring. Plus as part of our decision, we are requiring Virgin Media to check that every affected customer who complained has received the compensation or other remedies they were entitled to. The company must complete this in six months. A good day for consumers with fantastic work led by our Enforcement Director Ian Strawhorne and Comms Director David Chaplin
