Congratulations to Edward Brenninkmeyer on receiving the Family Leadership Award from the John L. Ward Center for Family Enterprises at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Having worked closely with Ed, both as a leader at ConnectMyApps and as Chief Investment Officer at Spabogruppen/Amesto Group, I can say with confidence: this recognition couldn't be more fitting. What makes Ed exceptional isn't just his business acumen. It's the way he leads with intention and care, or as we say: Business with heart and mind. Watching him in action, you understand what this award is really about: leaders who don't just grow businesses, but who invest in people, uphold long-term thinking, and leave things better than they found them. Before long, Ed will return to COFRA Holding AG and the next chapter of his own family's legacy. Until then, we are fortunate to have him with us. Well done, Ed. Truly.

Salget handler ikke om at noe er galt – det handler om at eierne mener dette er det beste for selskapets videre utvikling. Det skylder vi både ansatte og kunder. Valget på Exsitec handler om kulturell og strategisk match. Jeg blir ikke arbeidsledig etter dette salget. Amesto Group fortsetter for full kraft. Amesto Solutions sto for 240m av våre 1,3 milliarder i omsetning. This makes us one of the fastest companies to do so. Definitely the fastest with no VC backing :) I'm taking some time to digest. This milestone is surprisingly emotional for me to be honest. Maybe it's just reflecting on how crazy this past year has been. I'll probably post some stuff i've learned from powering through it. But for now - I want to thank our users, for trusting us to turn their wildest ideas into reality. For building their businesses on our platform. And for pushing us to be a better product every day. Base has by far the wildest, most valuable community in this market, and it’s not even close. And lastly, It's hard to state how much I'm grateful for the Base44 team. Thank you for being there with me, in the trenches, on this generational run. Marcelle MGM Kress - von Wendland shared thisFrom Models to Decisions: Why Most AI Fails in the Real World Artificial intelligence has advanced rapidly. Models are more capable, data is more abundant, and analytical outputs are increasingly sophisticated. Yet in many organisations, decision quality and real-world outcomes have not improved at the same pace. This disconnect is not accidental. It reflects a structural problem in how AI systems are designed, deployed, and judged. Much of today’s progress optimises for visibility rather than responsibility, and for insight rather than execution. Dashboards look better. Predictions appear more precise. But when organisations face high-stakes strategic or operational decisions—especially in regulated or mission-critical environments—AI often fails to deliver durable impact. The core limitation is no longer modelling capability. Powerful predictive and simulation-based models already exist. The real constraint has shifted to execution: the ability to turn intelligence into decisions and action in a way that holds up under scrutiny, challenge, and change. In real operational settings, AI systems tend to break down in predictable ways. Intelligence inputs are fragmented or inconsistent. Assumptions remain implicit. Reasoning is opaque. Verification and traceability are weak. Integration into actual decision processes is limited. When decisions are contested—as they often are in high-consequence environments—these weaknesses surface quickly. Individual models may perform well, but the surrounding system proves fragile. At that point, AI becomes something to be consulted rather than relied upon. Addressing this gap requires treating AI not as an analytical component, but as part of a broader decision system. In such systems, trust cannot be added as a feature or claimed through policy. It must be engineered into the architecture itself. That means verifiable intelligence pipelines, explicit assumptions, traceable reasoning, secure handling of data and IP by design, and architectures that support challenge, review, and accountability. Crucially, this also means moving beyond backward-looking forecasting alone. In complex and uncertain environments, decision-makers need forward-looking, simulation-based analysis that makes trade-offs and uncertainty visible, rather than reinforcing false confidence. AI systems that genuinely change decisions integrate diverse and imperfect intelligence, surface uncertainty rather than hide it, and support structured interaction with expert human teams. They provide context, reasoning, and alternatives—not just answers—and remain usable as decisions are refined over time. In environments where outcomes affect safety, resilience, financial stability, or public trust, this distinction is decisive. AI should be judged by the decisions it changes, not the dashboards it produces. The hard constraint is no longer modelling capability, but execution that survives real-world scrutiny.

Credit scoring, payments, agentic workflows. Compliance was the easy bit. The hard part is everything that has to be true before the paperwork even makes sense. That's the 90% nobody posts about. Six layers, built in order: 𝟭. 𝗔𝗜 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 You can't govern what you can't see. List every model, copilot, and auto-scorer. 𝟮. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Lineage, quality, freshness, bias screening. Bad data is almost never visible and when used creates wrong outputs. 𝟯. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 Encryption, anonymization, least privilege. Not everyone needs the keys. 𝟰. 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 Model cards, benchmarks, fairness testing, red-teaming, drift detection. The model that passed last quarter is not the model running today. 𝟱. 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 Decision review, override authority, accountability mapping. A human has to be able to say no. 𝟲. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 Map your systems to the rules. Log everything. If you can't prove what your AI did, it didn't happen. That last layer is the 10%. Most companies start there. A policy doc sitting atop five missing layers is just paperwork. Build the 90% first. Start at the top. List every AI tool your team actually touches. Every chatbot, every auto-scorer. Last time I did this exercise, the team swore they had four AI tools. We found eleven. That step changes the conversation from "we should do something" to "here's exactly what we run, and here's the gap". Marcelle MGM Kress - von Wendland liked thisHva gjør man når myndighetene gjør det ulovlig å drive med forretningsmodellen man har bygget seg opp på? Dette opplevde Amesto Group selskapet Toptemp da midlertidig bemanning i prinsippet ble ulovlig. Selskapet omsatte for 420 millioner innenfor generell bemanning og måtte finne ny forretningsmodell. De siste årene har derfor Toptemp endret strategi, og leverer nå hovedsaklig elektrikere og mekanikere der det er tillatt under det nye bemanningsdirektivet (man må være fagorganisert og godkjent av "klubben" hos kundene). Av vår opprinnelige omsetning på generell bemanning falt vi fra 420m til litt over 50m. Nå er vi tilbake og omsetter i år for opp mot 500m i vårt "nye" forretningsområde. Kudos til Christian Teigland og hans team! Nå er tiden inne for neste skritt, og vi lanserer Toptemp Installasjon, der vi tar vår satsing på elektro ett skritt videre og blir godkjent installatør (elektriker firma). Vi satser på at vår kompetanse innenfor bemanning i dette segmentet kan gi oss skalerbarhet også innenfor elektro installasjon. Jeg gleder meg til å følge intraprenøren vår Eivind T. Strand og hans team videre. For meg handler dette om mer enn å starte enda et selskap. Det handler om å bygge noe jeg har ståltro på, sammen med noen som deler trua! I et marked med store muligheter og et økende behov for både fagkompetanse og gode folk. Med Toptemp og Amesto i ryggen får vi en solid plattform fra dag én. Toptemp bringer inn tung kompetanse på mennesker, compliance og skalering, mens jeg tar med meg lang erfaring innen installasjon, prosjektledelse og drift. Sammen bygger vi et selskap med både faglig tyngde og kraft til å skalere raskt. Men det viktigste for meg er kanskje ikke veksten i seg selv. Det er menneskene jeg skal bygge noe skikkelig rått med. Jeg ønsker nemlig å bygge et sted hvor dyktige fagfolk får utvikle seg, ta ansvar, bygge karrierer og være stolte av det de er med på. Et selskap med høye ambisjoner, men også med beina godt plantet i faget. Dette er bare starten – heng med på fortsettelsen! 💥

For years, it sat quietly in the background. A policy no one read. A schedule no one followed. A problem no one owned. That's changing fast. Here's why retention and disposal is becoming impossible to ignore: ⚖️ Regulation is getting sharper GDPR, POPIA, DORA. The rules aren't new, but the enforcement is. Holding data longer than you should isn't just sloppy. It's non-compliant. 🎯 Breaches hurt more when you have too much The more data you hold, the bigger the blast radius. Old customer records. Redundant employee files. Forgotten test data. Every unnecessary byte is a liability waiting to surface. 🔍 AI is forcing the conversation Training models on stale, over-retained data creates new problems. Suddenly everyone wants to know what data exists, where it lives, and whether it should still be there. The uncomfortable truth? Most organisations don't have a disposal problem. They have an ownership problem. No one wants to be the person who deleted something important. So nothing gets deleted. Ever. Retention isn't glamorous. But the risk of ignoring it very much is.

By means of a practical framework, their approach analyzes market and credit risk exposure of financial instruments and portfolios and calculates risk adjusted performance measures. Its emphasis on standardization yields significant improvements in speed and accuracy.
Schwerdt and von Wendland's focus on practical implementation directly addresses limitations imposed by the complex and costly processing time required for advanced risk management models and pricing hundreds of thousands of securities each day.
