The Basin Electric Resolutions Committee, made up of representatives from each of Basin Electric's districts and a Basin Electric board member, had its first annual review meeting on June 23. Dakota Gas, a subsidiary of Basin Electric, hosted its first-ever internal Safety Leadership Summit this spring, a multi-session training initiative designed to strengthen field-level safety leadership across the organization. Approximately 80 employees participated, including team members from operations, maintenance, the chemistry lab, engineering, and other field-based roles. More below.

One of the highlights was walking in the Mandan Independence Day Parade alongside members Capital Electric Cooperative and Mor-Gran-Sou Electric Cooperative. In June, Basin Electric’s Board of Directors met with Central Montana Electric Power Cooperative in Billings, Montana, for the annual joint board meeting. Discussions focused on cooperative priorities, financial updates, member needs, and the value of collaboration.
