A decade ago, Energy Impact Partners started with a simple idea: bring together innovators, industry, and capital to invest in a better energy future. Now, that idea has grown into a global community spanning utilities, corporates, investors and startups, all working toward the same goal. Earlier this month, that community came together at our Annual Meeting for two days of candid conversation, new partnerships, and shared momentum on where the industry goes next. We saw new deals take shape, long-standing relationships deepen, and a clear reminder of why this work matters. Thank you to everyone who traveled to be there and contributed to the conversation. Big news today for Elementl Power, which announced development of a greenfield nuclear power project in Southeast Ohio with planned capacity up to 1.5 GW. This is new nuclear done right: --> Sited along the Ohio river, at a site originally planned for a (since-cancelled) coal plant --> In PJM, the market that needs new firm capacity more than any other --> Early Works Agreement to use the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy BWRX-300, the most mature SMR platform with the biggest balance sheet --> Broad local community support (JobsOhio, OhioSE, Meigs County, Building & Construction Trades) --> PJM interconnection filed for first 600 MW It's time to build (new nuclear)

Congratulations to Robert M. Lee and the entire Dragos, Inc., Inc. team on today’s announcement. Accenture is acquiring a majority stake in Dragos at a $3.2 billion valuation, and we could not be more proud. When EIP led Dragos’s Series A in 2017, industrial cybersecurity was still an emerging category. Our conviction came from years of working alongside utilities and industrial operators and recognizing that securing critical infrastructure would become one of the defining challenges of the decade. Just as importantly, we believed Rob and his co-founders were the right team to build the category leader. This milestone is also a powerful validation of the EIP model helping our portfolio scale with the strength of our ecosystem. Dragos will continue to operate independently, preserving the leadership, mission, and customer relationships that made it a category leader. We are grateful to have partnered with the company from the very beginning and excited to see what comes next. At our annual meeting last week, we were proud to recognize the following individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions. Xcel Energy (accepted by Justin Tomljanovic on behalf of many teams across the organization) was recognized for their pioneering work to creatively expand capacity in Minnesota while protecting affordability for their customers. As part of their agreement with Google to power a new data center in Pine Island, Minnesota, Xcel Energy will partner with EIP portfolio company Form Energy to develop a 30 GWh multi-day battery storage facility. The Pine Island agreement also funds $50M toward Xcel Energy's Capacity*Connect program, a pioneering utility-driven program to deploy up to 200 MW of distributed battery capacity, for which they're partnering with EIP portfolio company Sparkfund. Monica Karuturi, CenterPoint Energy, was recognized for her work leading the Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative, a time sensitive effort to strengthen local infrastructure and improve emergency preparedness across CenterPoint territory. Monica led the roll out of seven different novel technologies that support better detection, prevention, and communication around extreme weather events. This included new outage communications tools developed in partnership with EIP portfolio company Convey's as well as an emergency response platform from former portfolio company Urbint (now part of Itron).  Eric Boyer, PPL Corporation, was recognized for his leadership in deploying cutting-edge Early Fault Detection technology to meet PPL's ambitious reliability improvement goals. Eric and team moved quickly to pilot and scale INDT's solution across the majority of PPL's three-phase backbone in Pennsylvania, which has improved system safety, reliability, and affordability. INDT's predictive maintenance platform identifies issues on transmission and distribution infrastructure before they cause outages; this approach allows utilities to intervene proactively and address defects before they become faults or emergency situations, which keeps utility workers out of harm's way, and reduces costs for ratepayers by replacing costly emergency repairs and unplanned outages with targeted, preventive maintenance.

World-class science needs world-class computing, and computing needs power. Last week, PPL was recognized with the 2026 Energy Impact Partners Trailblazer Award at the organization’s Annual Meeting. The award highlights PPL’s leadership in advancing grid innovation – most notably through the deployment of IND.T early fault detection sensors. This AI-powered technology helps identify potential issues on power lines before they escalate into major outages, strengthening reliability for the customers and communities we serve. Eric Boyer accepted the award at the event on behalf of the team, representing the work led by Eric, Salim Salet and James Conrad. Congratulations to the entire team on this well-deserved recognition and for helping drive the future of a smarter, more resilient energy grid. #EnergyInnovation #GridModernization #Leadership #UtilityOfTheFuture 

Over the last two days, EIP has brought together almost 400 utilities, innovators and industrials shaping the largest infrastructure transformation in a generation, at our annual meeting. AI. Advanced manufacturing. Autonomous systems. None of it runs without power and the grid is essential to making this transformation possible. We are grateful for our platfrom that is turning this opportunity into reality.
