I’m proud to share that PsiQuantum has signed a new $125 million expanded agreement with Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) under the Quantum Benchmarking Initiative. Our company is one of only two performers in the final and most advanced stage of one of the most comprehensive and rigorous government programs for evaluating emerging technology that I have ever seen. DARPA’s team of experts has stress-tested PsiQuantum’s approach, provided an independent and clear-eyed assessment and validation of our designs and our teams, and ultimately made our company and technology all the better for it. PsiQuantum looks forward to continuing to rise to the challenge.

Victor Peng, Pete Shadbolt, and I kicked off a busy week in Chicago with a visit to Affordable Welding Iron Works, which supplied hundreds of tons of structural steel for PsiQuantum's building at the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park. We also joined a roundtable in South Chicago with inspiring local leaders to talk about how we can work together even more closely to deliver meaningful opportunities across the communities that surround the Park. There is no substitute for seeing this kind of work and hearing perspectives from the local area. It's hard to believe that two years have passed since our company first announced that we would become the anchor tenant at the IQMP. But thanks to hard work and close partnerships across the State of Illinois, together we're bringing the promise of quantum technology closer than ever.

It was great to start this week back in South Chicago, where PsiQuantum is anchoring America's largest quantum computing project at the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park. We're proud to be a neighbor in this community. Pete Shadbolt, Susan Kim, and I had a chance to hear from an incredible group of local leaders about our shared commitment to ensure that the quantum future delivers meaningful opportunities for South Chicago. We also toured Affordable Welding Iron Works, which supplied roughly 400 tons of structural steel for PsiQuantum's building at the IQMP. And we stopped by Cocula Restaurant, a local landmark, for a great lunch along the way. Thanks especially to Curt Bailey and the Related Midwest and Clayco teams for being such wonderful hosts, as well as Alderman Peter Chico and Alderman Greg Mitchell for spending the day with us.

Well a few weeks ago, Sachin and I got exclusive access inside PsiQuantum, the $7 Billion startup trying to win the quantum race We went all the way to Milpitas, California (beautiful place btw) to their production facility and were blown away Co-founder Pete Shadbolt and Chief of Staff Alex Mack walked us through the entire building and showed us the literal building blocks of the world's most ambitious quantum computer A $7 billion company trying to build a million-qubit machine backed by NVIDIA, BlackRock and Founders Fund One of the things that stuck with me, is that while there are no useful quantum computers anywhere right now, when I asked Pete if its inevitable to build one, he didn't hesitate at all He told us it was pretty popular consensus amongst the industry that QC will be deployable by the end of the decade This is our best episode yet - find the link to it in the comments! I was glad to join leaders from across the government and the quantum computing industry at yesterday's White House Summit on American Quantum Innovation. The sense of urgency in Washington around strengthening and sustaining American leadership in quantum computing has never been greater. At PsiQuantum, we're proud to partner closely with agencies across the U.S. government like Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)'s Quantum Benchmarking Initiative, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and National Labs across the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) ecosystem in our efforts to build and deploy this critical technology. The gathering was an important opportunity for the private sector to hear from the Administration about how we can continue working together to ensure this technology, once fully realized, delivers greater prosperity and security for the American people.
