Yesterday, Regional Sales Manager Rich Stocker and our CEO Rob Stark ran an LZ-30 demo for a group of field crew members, giving them hands-on time with the instrument in the middle of a 100-degree day. The instrument doesn't quantify a leak, but it tells you exactly where to look, even from up to 100 feet away, letting a crew shoot the laser through a fence or into a hard-to-reach spot to know fast whether it's worth pulling out another tool. In an industry where speed matters this much, that's not a small thing. A few things came up more than once: | Simple interface, not something you have to think hard about mid-shift | Calibration in about 5 seconds, so crews aren't standing around waiting to get started | Rugged housing built for real field conditions | Clean readings even at long range, further out than expected What's the one thing that slows your team down most on a leak survey? #GasDetection #FieldSafety #NaturalGas #SENSITTechnologies

Confined space entry leaves no room for uncertainty. Oxygen levels, flammable risk, toxic gas exposure. All three have to be checked before anyone goes in, every time, no matter how routine the site looks. One reading missed is one too many. 💬 What's the first check on your list before entry? #ConfinedSpace #GasDetection #FieldSafety

Every SENSIT instrument that leaves our building is made in Valparaiso, Indiana, by people who stand behind it. We're ISO-9001 certified and Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliant, because the crews who rely on our detectors deserve instruments held to a real standard, not just a marketing claim. 45+ years in this industry taught us one thing: certifications only matter if the product backs them up in the field, every time. When you call SENSIT, you'll talk to a real person and get real support, from the same team that engineers and builds the instrument. #GasDetection #MadeInAmerica #FieldSafety #SENSITTechnologies

Detecting methane is one thing. Finding the source and taking action is another. SENSIT will be exhibiting at MONITOR CH4 2026 in Bologna on July 9. We look forward to discussing practical approaches to methane detection, emissions quantification, leak location, and supporting field teams responsible for safe and reliable operations. If you're attending, stop by and connect with the SENSIT team. Daniele Fogale

Field crews carrying detection instruments all day notice weight. The SENSIT® PMD 2 comes in at 3.1 lbs. — 45% lighter than previous models — with a battery that runs a full shift without needing a swap. It also starts up in about 60 seconds. For crews working early starts and tight schedules, that matters more than it sounds. Built to stay out of the way so crews can focus on the job. #GasDetection #NaturalGas #UtilityIndustry #SENSIT

Independence Day Picnic, by the numbers: 🌭 Hot dogs eaten: too many to count 🎯 Dunk tank attempts before someone finally went in: an embarrassing number 🏆 Bags tournament champions: 1 (and they will not let us forget it) 🇺🇸 America's birthday: 250 We also took the opportunity to recognize some incredible team members with service awards. Congratulations, and thank you for everything you bring to the team! A fun reminder that some of the best team building doesn't happen in a conference room. Thanks to everyone who helped organize the celebration. Happy 4th! 🎆 P.S. Peep our new building taking shape in the background. Exciting things ahead!

Something we've noticed after 40+ years of working with gas utility crews: The most experienced operators ask the fewest questions about specs. They ask one thing: will it work when I need it to? That's the standard we hold ourselves to with every instrument we build. We put the effort and support in so you don't have to ask. 💬 What's one thing you always check before trusting a new instrument in the field? #GasDetection #NaturalGas #FieldSafety #UtilityIndustry

Most combustible gas indicators respond to whatever they find. Organic material in soil, vehicle fumes, adhesives and sealants, refrigerants. All common sources of false positives for crews in the field. The SENSIT® PMD 2 uses Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) — a laser tuned to a single wavelength that only methane absorbs. Only methane means a lower false positive rate in mixed environments. That's the difference between a crew that's confident in their reading and one that isn't. #GasDetection #FieldSafety #SENSIT #NaturalGas

SENSIT Technologies reposted this
💡 "Everything is bigger in Texas except substance and science."‼️ That was the statement I heard on Monday morning in Austin. The Air & Waste Management Association has since disproven it. This was my first time at A&WMAs annual event. Its a technical conference (with a modest product showcase) focused on the question: how do we actually achieve cleaner air? 🍃 Attending alongside Robin Cherre and representing SENSIT Technologies, here's what I wrote down as takeaways: 1️⃣ 📏 Regulations often measure the wrong thing. Success should be defined by outcomes (fewer emissions) not by how often you monitor or which technology you deploy. Writing rules around activity instead of results quietly shuts out cost-efficient sensor networks that could do the job better. 2️⃣ 😯 Gaps in regulatory coverage can surprise you. Quarries in Texas aren't classified as a "facility" under the Clean Air Act. Sit with what that means for the people living next to one. 3️⃣ 🫁 "As modeled" is not "as measured" is not "as experienced." Industrial emissions estimates vary widely across all three. What a person actually breathes is what matters, not what a permit predicted years earlier. 4️⃣ 📹 Optical Gas Imaging can be a step change. It's moving operators from ~500 components a day under Method 21 LDAR to ~5,000 a day under EPA's OOOO Appendix K method. This gives us better odds of finding gas leaks fast. 5️⃣ 🔎 We continue to still detect methane far better than we can quantify it. In one controlled-release study, the best quantification estimate was only 57% of the methane actually released. If you can't size a leak, you can't prioritize the ones that matter most. Plenty to think about on how we help industry become #SaferCleanerHealthier #EmissionsMonitoring #CleanAir #SENSIT
