This is what's notable for anyone in supplements: A premium longevity brand targeting women 30+ — with proprietary IP, a serious scientific story, and a real margin profile — chose TikTok Shop as its only launch channel. That's a decision worth studying. We were in 1+ year sales slump and needed to turn it around asap. In 30 days following the fundamentals we've never been hotter. Here are the fundamentals that are working: 1. Sticking to the script 2. Deep discovery 3. Detailed call notes 4. Organized pipeline 5. Tailored Strategy decks 6. Scheduled prep time before every strategy call 7. Going for the close 8. BAMFAM on every call 9. Better pipeline follow up systems/delegation 10. Daily sales skill training I started with asking myself: "what does success in sales look like?" These definitions from the ACQ Closer Handbook simplified it for me: 1. Selling means maximizing the likelihood that a prospect buys 2. Your sales process arranges the conditions to maximize the likelihood a prospect buys 3. The salesperson goes through the process to maximize the likelihood that the prospect buys Ideal selling: increase the likelihood of buying to 100% for as many prospects as possible Ideal salesperson: Apply the sales process perfectly to maximize the chances of making the sale and apply it to as many prospects as possible to maximize the opportunities to sell It sounds simple but it works. The panel: Cassandra Bankson (2.4M on YouTube, TikTok Shop affiliate powerhouse) and Kelly Welsh (former TikTok Shop Category Manager, now running TikTok Shop for The Jel Sert Company). Two sides of the same table. A creator who’s built long-term brand partnerships across categories. A brand operator who used to work inside TikTok itself. The through line that kept coming up: the creators making real money on TikTok Shop are the ones who show up consistently, work with brands who share their values, communicate well, and treat brand relationships like compounding assets. Consistency beats virality. Every time. Social commerce is a $135B market heading to $1.5T. The creators who understand the game has tiers and play it intentionally are the ones building six-figure income from this platform. I told Gary Sang, CFA —who had spoken with me multiple times about the opportunities at SuperOrdinary—that if I joined the team, one day we would have all the rooms live simultaneously. I decided to take the leap and join SuperOrdinary, largely because the office space was so inspiring and beautiful. After two months, that dream started to come true. More and more brands began using our live services, transforming our once quiet office into a bustling, lively studio. We quickly ran out of rooms, so we converted meeting rooms into live studios, and soon we found ourselves taking over staff offices to accommodate the growing demand. I started with one team member—Chufan (Joe) Z. , the sweetest and most hardworking person I’ve ever worked with. Our days began as early as 7:30 AM, and by the time we wrapped up our last discussion, it was 1 AM. Our first Black Friday was a huge success, despite being a new team. We did an incredible job, and we proved that Q1 2026 wouldn’t be slow—far from it. We had more clients than expected, and our Q1 was just as busy as Q4. Eventually, we ran out of rooms altogether. Thanks to the amazing support from our people team—Jenny DeVore and Alex DuRee-Ferriss —and the entire management team Julian Reis Derek TRAU we found new spaces. Now have over 20 live rooms, allowing more brands to join our live sessions. Today, I stand in this beautiful office, watching lives in progress and reflecting on the crazy month of June, which wrapped up with the DFYD campaign. We logged over 1,000 live hours—a huge achievement for a team of 12 people. Yet, I haven’t heard a single complaint about the long hours or missed weekends. Instead, all I hear are stories of happiness working with this incredible team and pride in the results we’ve delivered. We hosted lives at DisneyStore Burbank Studio Lot, featuring Disneystore favorites. We had Kevin Woo, the amazing Mystery Saja of K-pop Damon Hunter join our Mixsoon mega live, singing Soda Pop and Golden live. We even sold out the most popular bundles, generating $300,000 for one brand in just one month. I could talk about all our production for an entire day. Today, we’re producing live streams for Dr. Groot, Mixsoon, DisneyStore, Laura Mercier, Boxum, BareMinerals, Mis En Scene, Olive Young, Naturium and many more. Thank you SO team for your trust and support through both our successes and challenges. Phrases like “I trust you guys” and “Let’s meet and find a solution” have given us the energy and confidence to keep moving forward. I still genuinely enjoy every single day working here at SuperOrdinary. Over the past two years, I've had the opportunity to learn, grow, and work alongside an amazing group of people—from talented colleagues to inspiring sellers and creators. This role was my first experience on a merchandising team, giving me the chance to work at the heart of a marketplace business and learn firsthand what it takes to succeed on the world's fastest-growing social commerce platform. A special thank you to Jason Tsai and Peilun Huang for believing in me from day one and trusting me with opportunities beyond my role. From leading the implementation of Subscription and HSA/FSA payments, to becoming our GNE specialist and helping launch new categories in Health & Wellness, I was constantly challenged to grow—and I'm incredibly grateful for that trust. To all the sellers I had the privilege of partnering with, thank you. It was rewarding to help grow your businesses on TikTok Shop. Behind every successful brand is a team of passionate people working tirelessly to build something meaningful, and it was an honor to be part of your journey (Joel Contartese, Alex Lomov, Lauren Fox, Anthony Broom, Russell Saks, Michael Yewdell, Richard Namad, Alejandro Aleman, Teresa Lopez, among others). Following…TikTok Shop is expanding its successful Creator Bash series in 2025, bringing it to four major U.S. cities as part of a strategic effort to foster deeper collaboration between top creators and leading brands.
