In my 15+ years at Kronos, Mark was always good to me and I learned much from him. I think my biggest learning is that you be yourself and still be successful - this was a guy who wore Hawaiian shirts and Birkenstocks to meetings when everyone else wore suits, who asked for a Diet Pepsi at a meeting with Coca Cola executives, and more. Aron A. posted thisIt is with great sadness that I share that my brother Mark passed away yesterday. Mark was a remarkable person who led a full and meaningful life. Mark was a co-founder of Kronos and its founding CEO from 1977 until his retirement in 2005. His professional and personal achievements are numerous including being a wonderful father, grandfather, husband, brother and son; he was a great friend to so many people; an amazing entrepreneur; a generous philanthropist; and a visionary leader with great passion, energy, focus and determination. Mark and I were more than just brothers. We worked side by side for many decades and developed an extra deep love and appreciation for each other. We shared so many important milestones at each other's side. I will miss him beyond what words can describe. His memory will always be a blessing for me, my family, Mark's many friends, and the long list of Kronos alumni and current staff whose lives he impacted. While I'm grateful for the recognition, this award is really a reflection of the transformation our team has led together at UKG. Over the last year, we've fundamentally reimagined the role of marketing in our business. We moved beyond the traditional service model and built a unified global growth engine with accountability across the entire customer lifecycle—from brand and demand generation to pipeline, revenue, customer outcomes, and long-term growth. Together, our teams broke down regional silos, aligned around the customer journey, established global Centers of Excellence, and created a shared operating model focused on delivering consistent experiences for customers around the world. What makes me most proud isn't any single campaign or metric. It's the collective impact of a team that embraced change, challenged convention, and proved that marketing can be a strategic driver of business transformation. Because of their work, we launched a new global brand positioning UKG as the world's Workforce Operating Platform, accelerated awareness and pipeline growth, modernized our go-to-market approach, and began applying AI in practical ways that help our people work smarter while strengthening the customer experience. Blackstone and Google announced we’re establishing a joint venture to build a new TPU cloud computing company – a landmark investment as we look to help meet rising global demand for compute. We then headed to Florida to spend a few days with our LPs. I had the honor of moderating a fireside chat with Daniel Gross. Beyond running compute for Meta, Daniel is a brilliant investor and leader across the business and tech communities. We rounded out the month with an announcement from the new AI-native enterprise services firm, backed alongside Anthropic and Hellman & Friedman, to acquire Fractional AI, a leading applied AI services company. This partnership will help bring Claude into businesses’ core operations and drive value.

After more than 30 years in enterprise software, I spent the past few months thinking carefully about what I wanted the next chapter of my career to look like and was committed to getting it right. What ultimately drew me to UKG was the opportunity to help build what I believe will be one of the defining categories of the AI era: the system of action for the workforce. For decades, enterprise software has been built around systems of record that track employees, schedules, hours, payroll, and transactions. Those systems remain essential, but AI is shifting where value gets created. The next generation of software will help organizations sense, decide, and act in real time. That layer is the system of action, and it is where the next major platform companies will be built. Nowhere is that opportunity bigger than in the workforce. Frontline workers and growing businesses are the backbone of the global economy.
