Edward Rueda’s piece in PLANADVISER offers a strong snapshot of where things stand today. Deal activity remains steady, but both buyers and sellers are becoming increasingly selective. In Barron's, Charles Paikert highlights the pressure facing firms in the $250M to $500M AUM range. While many continue to receive consistent inbound interest, the decision to sell often comes down to succession planning and the demands of sustaining growth. In Alec Rich’s article in Citywire RIA, #AI comes into focus. As Clark Benton noted, firms will need to clearly demonstrate how they are adapting to AI to support valuations. It’s also introducing another layer of risk for independent owners, especially as larger platforms continue to build those capabilities.
