Justin Valley shared thisIn two decades of implementing SAP, I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. When training is carefully designed and delivered, it works. But even the best implementations have an after-training problem. It looks like this: Users finish training feeling confident for go-live. Then a few weeks pass before they’re back in a transaction they don't use every day. Only now, they can’t remember a process they learned under very different (read: controlled!) conditions. The training was a success, but a knowledge gap remains. WalkMe bridges that gap. With guided steps, embedded directly inside SAP and available when users need them, it extends the expiration date on good training—even without a trainer in the room. Since adoption usually occurs well after I’ve left a project, I wanted to understand how the platform works from the inside. And when WalkMe and I decided to partner on a content series, getting the Digital Adoption Consultant certification myself was a no-brainer. Some organizations are so heads-down on their ECC-to-S/4 migrations that they aren't ready to take on AI yet. That means the gap between SAP announcements and IRL adoption is real. I partnered with them to show you how this looks in action in SAP S/4HANA. We used Purchase Order approvals as the main example in this video, but the concept applies to any messy process where your users get stuck. Just by adding a WalkMe WalkThrough inside SAP S/4HANA, we were able to: → Ask the right questions upfront to guide users down the correct flow → Automate repetitive steps so users focus on decisions, not data entry → Walk users through every required field, from supplier to line items to pricing And the WalkMe Flow Analytics Dashboard proved the impact: PO approvals: 102 without WalkMe → 246 with WalkMe 📈 🤯 If you've ever had to justify the ROI of digital adoption, those are your numbers. Justin Valley shared thisBig news out of Sapphire today for SAP. And shocker, it’s about AI. The main idea: SAP is trying to move Joule beyond just a chatbot-style assistant and deeper into the actual flow of work. The finance example is called the Autonomous Close Assistant, which SAP says can help automate journal entries, reconciliation, and error resolution during financial close. In theory, that could simplify period-end close, which is a massive headache for most organizations. Layered on top is what SAP is calling Joule Work. Users describe the outcome they want (e.g. "Help me prepare month end close for May 2026") and Joule Work will "orchestrate the right combinations of workflows, data and agents to get it done." That could massively change how we train end users to work with SAP. It'd be way less focus on memorizing transactions. More focus on understanding the process, reviewing what the agents did and knowing when something needs human judgment. 😅 I’m curious: would your company allow AI agents to reconcile your books at year-end? Justin Valley shared thisMost SAP projects don’t fail during implementation. They struggle after go-live. I’ve seen this enough times now that it’s pretty hard to ignore. Go-live happens, everyone is feeling good, but then real usage starts. It all gets a little messy. People fall back to old ways of working, while hyper-care support gets slammed. Things that looked good in training don’t always hold up in real scenarios. We tend to look at completion and think we’re in good shape, but that doesn’t tell you much. The first 30 days after go-live tell you pretty quickly what you actually built.

Key topics covered included: • SAP ERP fundamentals and enterprise business processes • An overview of core modules, including Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Human Capital Management (HCM) • Searching for data, generating reports, and exporting information for analysis This course helped strengthen my understanding of how ERP systems connect different functions within an organization and support data-driven decision-making. I look forward to continuing my learning journey, expanding my knowledge of enterprise systems, and combining these skills with my background in Industrial & Systems Engineering.
