I struggle to understand what you are actually saying here.
At ReElement we focus on what’s important. Costs and production. When the $80 million loan (with warrants) was offered they wanted us to be in production by end of 2027 for just magnet recycling. Today we have four production lines coming online before that date for a wide spectrum of products. For a loan they wanted me to hire an EPC which we refused as that would cost more and slow us down. Instead we accepted a lower cost $25mm equity deal because we didn’t need more than that and are well capitalized. Less tax payer money and less costly to my shareholders, but strong relationship with gov which is what we wanted and thought would be beneficial to the cause.
Funny thing is people keep bringing up that we didn’t take the $80mm. I don’t think “needing” more from gov as a sign of pride. I get people find it hard to believe that a company wouldn’t take as much as they could get from gov because most view it as a capital grab….
Only time will tell who will solve the problem and people can go back and read the claims across the industry and see who paid bigger pr budgets, lobbyists and media and who focused on production and equipment and cost controls.
