I am lucky to be able to lead these efforts across our combined firm. Our philosophy: AI platforms aren't one-size-fits-all. In order to solve the complex issues that result from incident response, investigations, litigation, and restructuring we need purpose-built technology, grounded in strong data, and deployed only where it makes our expert work that much better. Defensible and Responsible. That means smarter compliance reviews, more rigorous cybersecurity assessments, better-matched expert teams, and more precisely scoped engagements. Together with my StoneTurn colleagues Jonny Frank, Nathan Gibson, CPA , and Kashif Sheikh, JD, CFA , we've brainstormed what it actually takes to build a compliance program that holds up when regulators start asking questions. Michael Costa shared thisOnly 16% of people read for pleasure in 2023 (full study and image source linked in the comment below). That number is likely lower today despite including audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, and books on e-readers. Plenty of factors influence whether people can make time for reading, but if you are in a position to do so, I highly recommend it. Fiction or non-fiction, as much as you can. I often post about AI, but this is even more critical and increasingly connected as AI promises to read, summarize, and think on our behalf. *Note: reading on phones was not explicitly included as an example of "reading" in the survey, so the 16% is likely understated.

Matthew Seitz and to be fair, I don’t know how to stop it. It’s not dissimilar from cyber security and threat actors. Each time the security gets better the hacker reacts and improves, onward.

Bot padded and paid reviews are a bummer. I was one of many review-driven shoppers but it’s no longer fun.
Given how AI agents source their information, this flywheel may turn into a doom loop fairly quickly.
Reviews were valuable data to Amazon. I am curious if they still are - or maybe they don’t care. 🤷♂️
