    Program Descripiton
    Seton Hill University follows Elizabeth Ann Seton's promise to prepare students for that world in which you are destined to live. In 2013, that means social and mobile technology, so Seton Hill built a campus-wide Wi-Fi network with 360 access points, and supplies all full-time students with an iPad Mini and all full-time first-year students with a Macbook Air laptop as well. After two years the iPad mini is replaced with a new one. Although the University initially owns the devices, students take both with them when they graduate. At the same time, the university traded its Cisco network for a seamless wired/wireless solution from Enterasys that supports up to 5,000 devices across multiple campuses. IT is using a patent-pending solution that allows tech personnel to provide support via social media applications, for instance using Twitter to directly query an iPad and identify a problem. Thanks to to this system, the university manages its complex network with only a few full-time IT employees.
