About
Sachin (pronounced SUCH-in) Jain is President and CEO of SCAN Group and SCAN Health Plan, where he has led a transformative period of growth and performance. Under his leadership, SCAN has grown its membership, expanded into new markets, and achieved record revenue—while maintaining industry-leading member satisfaction and quality ratings.
Since joining SCAN, Dr. Jain has diversified the organization’s portfolio beyond traditional Medicare Advantage, launching new ventures in care delivery, home-based services, and complex care management. These initiatives have not only opened new revenue streams but have also positioned SCAN as a national innovator in senior care.
Previously, Dr. Jain was CEO of CareMore Health and Aspire Health, where he scaled integrated care models and drove significant improvements in cost, quality, and patient outcomes. A former Chief Medical Information and Innovation Officer at Merck and senior advisor to the Obama Administration, he blends business acumen with deep policy and clinical expertise.
Known for turning vision into execution, Dr. Jain has lead organizations at scale, navigated complex regulatory environments, and drove growth while staying mission-aligned. He is widely recognized as a next-generation health care leader with strategic depth and operational discipline.
He is a native of New Jersey, but presently resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife and their Shepherd-Husky mix, Kogi. He's a mediocre tennis and piano player and aspiring farmer.

Since 1996, it had successfully reorganized itself from a cancer hospital that was physically organized around clinical specialties into one that was organized into disease-based integrated practice units called multidisciplinary care centers. These units were supported by a new construction project that had created new disease-specific facilities and a widely-supported administrative plan in which physicians reported both to leadership of specialty-based academic departments and disease-based clinical centers.

Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, ThedaCare stood out among community hospital systems in its pursuit of service rationalization, clinical quality improvement, and value-based delivery. Driven by determined leadership, ThedaCare began site-based service line rationalization and introduced innovative care delivery models. ThedaCare is a metaphor for the challenges of transforming American community hospital systems. Can be used to teach: the evolution of structure, organization, and strategy of U.S.-based community hospital systems; integrated practice units and care cycles; management of health care quality improvement processes; challenges in diffusion of care delivery innovation; and cost transparency and quality measurement.
