The students will receive college readiness and continuing education preparation, as well as career workforce readiness skills, such as reading, math skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills; which are desperately lacking among refugee youth due to the opportunity divide…
Through the JA Refugee and Immigrant Initiative, Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania partners with community organizations to welcome and attract a new, future workforce pool of talent from our refugee youth. The students will receive college readiness and continuing education preparation, as well as career workforce readiness skills, such as reading, math skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills; which are desperately lacking among refugee youth due to the opportunity divide (the gap between the amount of children that receive and do not receive the necessary skills they need for the workforce). As a volunteer instructor, Troy is responsible for delivering relevant, hands-on experiences that give refugee youth knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.

The National Accreditation Commission (NAC) leads the AICPA accreditation process and creates an environment that fosters the efficient and effective development of marketplace recognition for CPA-provided specialty services. NAC Recommends and implements specific credential programs, including the evaluation of business plans for each accreditation effort, provides a continuous and rigorous oversight process of existing programs, including assessment of domestic and global market and CPA/CPA equivalent acceptance, competition, and the appropriateness of entry and maintenance requirements, and oversees the sunset of credentials if appropriate. In addition, NAC also works with the credential committees to increase participation in the ABV, CFF, CITP, and PFS credential programs.
