Ty Tyree shared thisSICOM - A Room Full of Young Leaders Last weekend, I watched my daughter present at the student section of ICOM, International Conference on Mission. She spoke about reconciliation, identity, and what it means to be an ambassador of hope in a divided world. It reminded me that leadership isn’t always about strategies or org charts. Sometimes it’s about a teenager inviting a room to see themselves as part of something bigger, a community built on compassion and purpose. In a season where humanity needs more bridge-builders, I’m grateful to watch the next generation step forward with courage and clarity.

Ty Tyree shared thisFrontier AI Will Be Built Through Partnerships, Not Silos. Frontier AI isn’t just about model performance, it’s about the ecosystems we build around it. Over the past decade, every transformative leap I’ve seen in tech came from partnerships that aligned incentives across research, engineering, GTM, and the end customer. The open-weight frontier model landscape will be no different. Hyperscalers, GSIs, cloud partners, and mission-driven startups each hold a different part of the puzzle. The magic happens when those pieces are connected with clarity, shared outcomes, and trust. Partnerships don’t slow innovation, they scale it. Excited to see where this next chapter leads.

Ty Tyree shared thisEarly in my career, I thought the hardest part of leadership was making decisions without perfect data. I’d spend days chasing clarity, waiting for one more report, one more signal, one more confirmation. The truth is, the clarity never came. Then came the AI era. We get faster insights, richer data, predictive models that surface patterns we could never see before. And yet, the challenge remains the same. The data is better, but it’s still not perfect. Leadership today lives in the gray zone between intuition and information. Between what we know and what we sense. AI can accelerate our understanding, but it can’t replace the judgment that comes from experience, empathy, and values. Leading in this new world isn’t about eliminating uncertainty. It’s about moving confidently through it. Acting with speed, based on an equal dose of data and gut instinct driven from decades of experience. Leadership has never been about knowing everything. It’s about knowing when to make the decision, even when the data, or your gut, still has questions. #Leadership #AI #DecisionMaking #Integrity #GrowthMindset

Ty Tyree shared thisFewer voices, faster progress. A few years ago, my team and I flew out to Apple headquarters for a major partnership discussion. We arrived with a full delegation, a dozen or so senior leaders representing every function of our business. Walking through the campus, we were in awe. The design, the energy, the precision, everything felt like innovation made tangible. When we reached the large conference room, we took our seats around the table and waited. A few minutes later, two people from Apple joined us. Just two. We exchanged polite greetings, and then someone from our side asked, “Will others be joining us?” One of them smiled and said, “No. When Apple wants to move fast, we keep the team small and empower them to act.” That stuck with me. Speed doesn’t come from adding more people. It comes from giving the right people ownership and trust. Sometimes, fewer voices mean faster progress. #Leadership #Empowerment #Innovation #Apple #DecisionMaking #Trust #TeamCulture

Ty Tyree shared thisAI literacy is becoming as important as digital fluency once was. But it doesn’t start with data models or code. It starts with people, their questions, fears, and curiosity. When I wanted to make AI more approachable for my team and business partners, I launched a short video series called Keyboard Confessions. Each episode featured a teammate or partner sharing a few personal revelations, their hobbies, what makes them tick, mixed with a little humor about failed projects and bold ideas that didn’t quite land. Then we talked candidly about AI and the concerns, the successes, and how it was reshaping our work. These short videos were designed to make the topic human. AI wasn’t this mysterious force on the horizon. It became something we could laugh about, learn from, and experiment with together. If I were to build a playbook for AI literacy, it would be simple: 1. Create space for honest dialogue. 2. Learn in public. 3. Make it personal. AI adoption grows fastest when people feel seen, not replaced. #Leadership #AI #LearningCulture #Innovation #KeyboardConfessions

Ty Tyree shared thisA question for you. AI can answer faster than I can think. It can summarize, predict, and recommend in seconds. But leadership isn’t just about having the right answer — it’s about knowing when to trust it. I’ve noticed that the real skill in this new era isn’t prompt engineering or data interpretation. It’s discernment. The ability to pause, question, or proceed — to know when the human context matters more than the machine confidence. So here’s my question for you: When AI gives you an answer faster than your instincts, what makes you pause? What makes you trust? I’m curious to hear how others are building their own “AI compass.” What guides your judgment when the data says one thing and your gut says another? #AI #Leadership #DecisionMaking #EthicalAI #LearningCulture

Ty Tyree shared thisA few years ago, I was invited to Major League Baseball headquarters to speak with their executives about building loyalty among fans. You might expect a conversation about rewards programs, point systems, or pricing models. Instead, we talked about experiences. I told them that value is a tool, but experience is the bond. Fans don’t return because they saved five dollars. They return because of the feeling they get walking into the park, the sound of the crowd, the smell of the grass, the nostalgia of a family moment. And you can amplify that experience with special access and VIP treatment. Creating unique exclusive experiences is the most powerful tool to keep ‘em coming back. It’s not just true in baseball. It’s true in every business. Loyalty isn’t earned through transactions. It’s built through emotion. The companies, and leaders, that win long-term are the ones who understand that relationships beat rewards every time. What experience made you loyal to a brand, team, or leader? #Leadership #CustomerExperience #Loyalty #Storytelling #CX #MLB

Ty Tyree liked thisTy Tyree liked thisModern scams don’t necessarily begin with hacking. They start by exploiting your most vulnerable point: Your emotions. Today’s fraudsters increasingly rely on psychological pressure; using urgency, authority, fear, or pressure to push individuals into acting quickly and sharing sensitive information. This tactic is known as social engineering, and it is becoming one of the fastest-growing drivers of global fraud. Addressing this challenge requires more than stronger passwords or new security tools. It requires a combination of network-level intelligence, real-time monitoring and intervention, and ongoing consumer education that helps people recognize the warning signs before it’s too late. That’s why at Mastercard, we focus on prevention before, during, and after an attack, helping protect trust at every step. Ty Tyree liked thisTy Tyree liked thisYour degree doesn’t matter in a job interview. How you explain your experience does. A fancy CV won’t save you if you ramble or freeze when it matters. Job interviews are won by how well you communicate – not how smart you are on paper. Here’s a 12-point cheat sheet to help you walk in ready to impress: Prepare properly ↳ Learn the company inside out. Culture, challenges, values. It shows you care. Use STAR method ↳ Structure your answers. Situation. Task. Action. Result. Simple and powerful. Tell stories ↳ People remember stories, not bullet points. Have 3–4 strong ones ready. Nail the first 5 minutes ↳ First impressions count. Be warm, confident, and human. Be honest ↳ Don’t fake it. Honesty about past mistakes builds trust. Stay positive ↳ Never badmouth past roles or bosses. Focus on lessons learned. Show potential ↳ You don’t need to tick every box. Show how fast you learn. Be clear ↳ Not too short, not too long. Practice until it flows. Take a breath ↳ It’s okay to pause. It shows thought, not weakness. Don’t panic ↳ Bad moment? Move on. Stay calm and refocus. Ask smart questions ↳ Quality > quantity. Make them see your value. Follow up ↳ The thank you email matters. Don’t skip it. Your job offer won’t come from your CV alone. It’ll come from how you present yourself in 30 minutes or less. If you were not able to enter or missed packed Srinivas Njay session at #GAC2026, here is the quick summary of the presentation. Video coming soon. The Future is Now: Building an AI-Native Credit Union Recent breakthroughs in artificial intelligence have brought the credit union industry to a fundamental turning point. The rapid advancement of AI models has shifted the conversation from simple automation to a complete organizational transformation. A Quantum Leap in Capability The release of advanced coding models like Anthropic's Opus 4.6 marks a significant milestone. For the first time, AI is writing the majority of its own code, leading to an exponential acceleration in its capabilities. Tasks that previously required a team of 8 developers 6 months to complete can now be accomplished by AI in just 12 hours. This breakthrough effectively provides credit unions with "unlimited IT bandwidth," allowing business leaders to solve complex problems and build software in days rather than months. Beyond the Chatbot: Restructuring for an AI-First World Becoming an "AI-native" credit union is not merely about deploying a chatbot; it requires fundamentally restructuring the organization around AI capabilities. To stay relevant, credit unions should align their teams around four core pillars: Journeys: Cross-functional teams that own end-to-end outcomes for members. Platform: A dedicated team focused on building the underlying technology and AI infrastructure. Governance: A team focused on risk assessment, due diligence, and ensuring the secure use of technology. Concierge Experience: A focus on deep member needs and personalized coaching. The Five Pillars of the Member Journey To fulfill their mission of improving financial well-being, credit unions must apply AI across five key service areas: Service: Empowering employees with instant answers and allowing members to autonomously perform predefined actions. Lending: Removing friction and increasing decision certainty to speed up the time from application to funding. Protect: Using AI co-pilots for automated dispute intake, scam interruption, and fraud investigation. Operations: Automating "happy path" workflows through command centers while keeping staff involved for complex edge cases. Growth: Attracting younger members by providing proactive, personalized financial coaching and next-best-action guidance. Moving Forward: Crawl, Walk, Run The path to becoming AI-native follows a maturity model: starting with an AI that answers questions, moving to one that finishes tasks, and eventually to one that coaches members and staff. The immediate step for credit union leadership is to start these discussions now. By adopting a "crawl, walk, run" approach—starting small to prove value before scaling—credit unions can leverage these breakthroughs to better achieve their mission and stay ahead of the competition.
