I’ve made so many friends over the next few years here, I listened to inspiring talks and had the most interesting disussions on software quality in my life. This september I’m coming once again, this time to take the main stage at STARWest and deliver the opening keynote titled: "Tester 2.0 — Becoming Indispensable in the Age of AI" It’s an ambitious title, but I will be approaching this with the highest respect to the tester’s profession. I truly believe there are things that make us indispensble and I hope my talk will bring inspiration and move us all forward. Can’t wait to be back in Anaheim! ⭐

I am honored. It's a privilege to be a part of the AI movement. Knowledge shouldn't be siloed off. It should be shared so that we become more powerful as people. I saw a lot of learning, a lot of camaraderie, and a lot of pride as teams defended their solutions built in AWS during the tutorial. My hope is that individuals will return home and be enabled to foster change in their positions and their companies. Now I get to watch the Keynotes and catch up on work that I need to get done. #AWS #AI #AICON #AICON2026 #Seattle

And the pastor was talking about how we are kind to others without cause because we have God's love. My only Stage Mom note would be to add that my kindness also comes from the goodness of strangers and friends who have helped me without request. And that service always comes back to a simple word - Love. Took a few days off last week to spend time with gal pals, watching the World Cup from squares in Cartegena, swimming around the Rosario islands, and continuing my 16 years of my Starburst Joy Tour (the most affordable form of diplomacy I can think of these days). Big moves happening this fall (mums the word until then), but had to share a few pics of me relishing not reading GenAI posts on LinkedIn, being present with friends to teach them new salsa moves, and taking time to continue to learn new words and phrases in Spanish (the phrases on the coast are so spicy and love). Here's to a fab week ahead, friends.

It had what I can only describe as a seating area, in the same way that the puddle next to the van could be technically described as a water feature. Chairs of uncertain origin, upholstered in what had once been red vinyl, arranged around a table that was slowly returning to the earth. I stood there for a moment genuinely trying to decide whether the state of the seating was a reflection of the coffee, or whether the coffee was so good that nobody cared where they sat to drink it. This is the kind of risk assessment I tend to over contemplate. I didn't get the coffee. I took the photo instead, which is probably the right call. There's a management lesson in here somewhere about how the experience around the product matters as much as the product itself. But honestly I just found it very funny and thought you might too. Remember we told everyone how to build SharePoint sites, Power Apps and now Agents and then…everyone DID! Now we need to take inventory of what we have, how they are behaving, who owns them, etc. This morning for the Day 2 keynote, I got to show off MY favorite governance tools in Agent365: 1. The Agent registry shock factor! People are AMAZED when they find out how many Agents they actually have in their biz (spoiler alert: it is a lot!) 2. The Agent Map! Click on an Agent and choose Map and you can see the reach of the Agent. What tools it calls, how many exceptions AND which users it reaches! 3. Rules and Policy Templates! Why do manual work when tech can do it for you? We created a set of rules to help babysit your Agents such as reassigning Agents if someone abandons their Agent. Run these at scale! Create policy templates if you really like how an Agent is behaving and want to automatically add that policy to other Agents. BONUS: Kendra Springer showed how to detect and pull in Shadow AI agents and Shilpi Sinha showed off Cost Management guardrailing so you don’t have surprises! I've spent 15+ years in testing and engineering teams I have never seen the distance between "I have an idea" and "I built it" collapse this fast Here's what teams at the Engenious University hackathon pulled off in 2 days: → Built custom AI skills that generated test coverage that used to take teams MONTHS → Found real vulnerabilities and jailbreaks in an AI system, then patched them on the spot → Non-engineers built and demoed their own working agents. No programming background. None. Then every team stood up and presented...
