I'm honored to be recognized this year again for the third time as a nominee for the Women in Business Awards by the Austin Business Journal. The business community in Austin is unmatched and is one of the main reasons I moved here. In a recent keynote, I shared about the concept of mirror neurons. They're the brain cells that fire not only when you do something, but when you watch someone else do it. It's why a yawn is contagious. And it's why, when you see another woman succeed, whether she builds the company, lands the role, takes the stage, or bets on herself, something quietly unlocks in your own mind: "I could do that, too." Watching someone else succeed is often the very thing that makes our own success start to feel possible. Which is why celebrating women in business is so much bigger than any single name on a list. Every time we say a woman's success out loud, we hand the women watching a kind of contagious courage, permission to believe their own vision is within reach. I've spent my career looking up to ambitious women who gave me a picture of something more to aspire to, women who made me believe the next thing was possible before I could see it myself. Keep shining and succeeding out loud. Someone is always watching. You’re unlocking more than you know and encouraging other women to rise to the top. ✨🫶🏻
