IHH Healthcare’s Post

Healthcare isn't short of innovation. The real challenge is turning promising ideas into meaningful impact at scale. At Smart Health Asia 2026, leaders from across our network came together to explore how technology, data and innovation are reshaping the future of healthcare. Representing IHH Healthcare, Elizabeth Han, Group Head of Innovation & Transformation, shared how AI is evolving beyond productivity gains to become an operating layer across the patient and clinical experience, helping redesign how care is delivered. Alongside her, our leaders contributed perspectives on some of healthcare's most pressing priorities — from interoperable data systems and smarter hospitals, to workforce transformation, clinical excellence and the role of digital health in advancing more connected, patient-centred care. Bringing together expertise from across our network, Kenneth Tsang, Regional CEO of IHH Healthcare North Asia, Allen Tan, Group Head of Data & AI, IHH Healthcare, Dr. Shuba Srinivasan, Vice President of Clinical Services, IHH Healthcare Malaysia, Datuk Dr Kuljit Singh, Medical Director of Prince Court Medical Centre and President of the Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia, and Ram Nadarajan, Assistant Vice President, Office of Operational Transformation, IHH Healthcare Singapore, highlighted the opportunities and challenges shaping healthcare's next chapter. Different perspectives, one shared ambition: to make healthcare more connected, intelligent and accessible for the patients and communities we serve. Through conversations like these, we're helping shape the future of healthcare across our network and beyond. #IHHHealthcare #SmartHealthAsia2026 #FutureofHealthcare #CareForGood

Very encouraging to see workforce transformation positioned as a first-order priority rather than a downstream HR initiative. As AI increasingly becomes an operational layer within healthcare, the challenge shifts from technology implementation to redesigning work, workflows and organisational capabilities. Technology can enable transformation, but sustainable impact often depends on the capability of people and organisations to adapt, exercise judgement and operate effectively within new models of care.

Elizabeth Han’s point about AI evolving from a productivity tool into a foundational operating layer is spot on—this shift is key to truly scaling clinical innovation. Looking forward to seeing how these collaborative insights continue to shape more connected, patient-centered care. 👏
