Today was a special day. Cisco announced our Q1’26 earnings where revenue, operating margin and EPS exceeded the high end of our operating guidance range. Here are just some of the details: - Total Revenues up 8% YoY - Product Revenues up 10% YoY - Product Bookings up 13% YoY - Product RPO up 10% YoY - Non-gap operating margin of 34.4% - $1.3B of AI Infrastructure orders from hyperscale customers - Returned $3.6B in Q1, including $2B of shares repurchased …and so much more While the financial metrics are fantastic, what’s even more exciting is the relentless focus and commitment shown by our employees, partners and customers on delivering the critical infrastructure for the AI era. In the past 15 months, Cisco has delivered more innovation than the previous decade combined. Here is a very incomplete list of a few examples of what’s been delivered by our rockstar team just in the past quarter! - Pioneering AI at the Edge with Cisco Unified Edge: Just last week at Partner Summit, we unveiled Cisco Unified Edge, an integrated compute, network and storage platform designed for distributed AI workloads on the edge such as a branch, hospital or a retail store. We've massively simplified inferencing to make it plug and play at the edge. - Cisco 8K Router with Silicon One P200: We introduced the Cisco 8223 routing system, powered by our new Silicon One P200 chip. This is the industry's first standalone 51.2 Tbps routing chip, delivering a "scale-across" architecture, allowing AI clusters to connect securely and efficiently across multiple data centers, effectively creating a single, unified compute environment or ultra cluster that can be hundreds of kilometers apart. - Cisco N9100 Data Center Switch with Spectrum-X: In collaboration with NVIDIA, we announced the Cisco N9100, the first data center switch built on NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet silicon. I am so incredibly proud of our Cisco employees on what they have accomplished the past few years. It’s not just what they have accomplished, but the heart and soul that each and every single one of them have put into the business to get us to this very proud moment. I also can’t thank our partner ecosystem enough for what they do for Cisco. We are so lucky to have you by our side every single day. Cisco would not be the company we are without our partners and we are forever grateful of you allowing us to partner with you to win together. Last but not the least, thanks to our customers for the trust you place in us. Cisco has had some difficult times in the past. You pushed us so that we could get better, but you didn’t give up on us. We are so proud to make sure that we continue to build products that you love that provide meaningful outcomes for your business. Thank you to all the supporters of Cisco who cheer us on. We are grateful for your coaching, guidance and encouragement. Know that we are just getting started and there is so much more to come.
Jeetu, Impressive results — and even more impressive execution. I often remind teams that financial performance is a reflection of the discipline behind the scenes, and Cisco’s combination of strong numbers and accelerated innovation makes that clear. The push into AI infrastructure, edge compute, and ultra-scale networking shows what happens when a company aligns conviction, talent, and long-term strategy. A huge milestone, and it feels like Cisco is just getting started
Thank you Jeetu for your relentless leadership!!
Jeetu Patel Phenomenal results and an even more impressive pace of innovation. Cisco’s ability to reinvent its infrastructure stack for the AI era, from edge intelligence to ultra-scale routing and data-center breakthroughs, shows what true industry leadership looks like. The execution, vision, and partner synergy behind these numbers are extraordinary. Congratulations to the entire Cisco team on a standout quarter.
I am so proud to be a Cisco partner. Thank you Jeetu Patel for everything you are doing to push Cisco forward as a leader in AI and collaboration. As a partner since 2013 I can see the shift in the past couple of years, we are coming back as the leader in ALL the portfolios. This is very impressive. Let’s continue to rock 🎸 the IT industry.
Jeetu, with the recent fraud allegations against Oracle by Michael Burry regarding depreciation accounting on AI infrastructure, do you see similar concerns around how tech companies are accounting for their AI capex investments? Burry claims they're extending useful life from 2-3 years to 5-6 years despite rapid hardware obsolescence. Does this impact how Cisco approaches depreciation for its AI infrastructure investments?
Impressive execution across both financial metrics and product innovation. The 13% growth in product bookings particularly stands out as a strong leading indicator. With such rapid infrastructure expansion and $1.3B in AI orders, how is Cisco approaching the challenge of ensuring these hyperscale deployments deliver measurable ROI for customers beyond just computational power?
convert a painting to melody project Hello, I apologize for bothering you. I am working on a project to convert a painting into a melody. Are you interested? I would like to propose this collaboration. Currently, I am developing version 6 trained by AI to create melodies. You can check version 3.0 of the software at the following link: musicartproj1.pythonanywhere.com. Thank you.
Tremendous results Jeetu and team - strategy being executed with pace and impact !
Congratulations Cisco family 🥳🎉
Jeetu - I don’t work for you, indeed I am not even in the same country, but I have listened to your remarkable wisdom and leadership on various podcasts and LinkedIn Posts. I believe your staff should be equally grateful to you for your outstanding leadership Skills for steering Cisco in reaching these figures and indeed providing a guiding light to the rest of us as we all grapple with the wonder that is AI. A trait sadly lacking many C Suits across the globe.
