Artificial intelligence will only have a real impact on pancreatic cancer if it is built on data, clinical evidence and international collaboration. That was the message from the Satellite Symposium organised today by Sycai Medical at the European Pancreatic Club Meeting (EPC 2026). Thank you to our keynote speaker, Dr Giovanni Marchegiani, MD, PhD, for setting the tone with clarity, depth and the kind of clinical insight that only comes from being at the forefront of pancreatic surgery. 🚨 New Publication Alert | Artificial Intelligence Surgery (AIS) Can artificial intelligence and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) reshape perioperative management for resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)? Despite curative-intent surgery, recurrence remains a major challenge for patients with resectable NSCLC. The goal: detect cancer earlier, better predict which treatments will work, and reduce unnecessary procedures. A key area of his work is using MRI and AI to extract more information from medical images, helping clinicians make better decisions together with patients. With his new chair, Mann aims to further advance innovative breast imaging and bring these developments closer to clinical practice. His appointment as professor and research leader has taken effect on July 1, 2026, for a period of five years.
