5 Reasons, You DON'T Need Critical Illness Insurance
1. CANCER … Don’t worry, you’ve got great immunity, and the odds are in your favour. The Canadian Cancer Society estimates only 43% of women and 44% of men will develop cancer in their lifetime.
2. Universal Health Care for all Canadians … You’re covered! It won’t pay lost wages, expensive drugs or home modifications if you need them, but don’t worry, that’s what your life savings are for.
3. Go Fund me … Everyone’s doing it! Perfect strangers love to give their money away. You could raise $50,000 in no time!
4. Keep your money, invest it yourself. Investing $100 a month, at 6% interest over five years will rack up a whopping $6,977 vs. throwing away a $100 a month to the insurance company for tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of protection.
5. Get a room with friends, your kids, or move back home. I’m sure they’ll take you in. Why not take advantage of other people’s kindness to just open their doors, and wallets to … renovate their home to meet your needs, feed you, do your laundry and be your personal taxi service. They could even set up a Go Fund Me Page so you can have spending money on the side.
