NEW: SANE & Skarbek Songwriting Academy Award

This new award is an exciting collaboration between SANE and The Skarbek Songwriting Academy, a creative hub founded by Sacha Skarbek, a two-time Ivor Novello and Grammy-winning songwriter, with Ben Parker, an acclaimed singer/songwriter and producer.

Named in honour of the academy’s ethos of music as a form of healing, connection, and creative resilience, this award recognises a songwriter who shows both artistic excellence and personal strength through their musical journey.

To enter, songwriters must be aged 18 or over, not signed to a label and with original composing experience. Applications are judged on musicality, authenticity, creativity, mental health insight and vision.

NOW OPEN: SANE Creative Awards Scheme

SANE is delighted to launch the latest round of the SANE Creative Awards Scheme to nurture people’s artistic ambitions.

Our scheme aims to improve the quality of life for those with mental health conditions, their families and carers, by helping them to fulfil their creative potential.

Applicants are assessed by a panel of representatives from the charity, including professional artists provided by the Open College of the Arts who offer valuable feedback, guidance and advice.

Awards are given for proposals in visual art, which includes all forms of painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media and digital art.
