Arik Waldman reposted thisArik Waldman reposted thisThis might be a terrible idea… But I’m doing it anyway. I’m landing in New York on Monday and flying to Toronto on Friday. My only mission? Visit as many great sales organizations as I can in 5 days. Not to pitch. Not to sell. Just to learn. Over the past year as a BDR, I’ve realized the fastest way to grow isn’t another sales book or podcast. It’s spending time with people who’ve built exceptional sales teams. So if you’re at NinjaOne, Dynatrace, Arctic Wolf, Citrix, Cribl, Ivanti, or any incredible GTM organization in NYC… Invite me over. All I ask for is 30 minutes to learn how your team operates, meet the people behind it, and ask a lot of questions. How many sales offices can I visit in 5 days? Let’s find out. If I visit your office, coffee or lunch is on me, and I’ll bring some swag and gifts. Now tag someone I should meet before I fly home on Friday. 👇

Arik Waldman shared thisEarlier this week I was using ChatGPT to help me design an agentic workflow. At one step, I wasn’t sure what solution to pick, so I asked, “What solution makes the most sense here, considering scalability and simplicity?” It confidently suggested a specific tool. I made sure to understand the logic behind the recommendation and checked the proposed solution, but that was good enough for me at the moment. I then realized I hadn’t asked for a full list of options with pros and cons. Why? Because, despite knowing ChatGPT’s many limitations, I trusted it. That got me thinking. Who else recommends things we trust just because they said so? Influencers. AI works similarly but without selfies, hashtags, or promo codes. It offers one or two options, often neatly packaged and confidently phrased. We accept, often without realizing we’ve just made a decision. To paraphrase Shrek, trust is like onions. It has layers - it’s not always simple or obvious. AI’s advice can be solid, but can also reflect biases, outdated information, or even designed influence. Imagine if ChatGPT favored Shopify products just because of a partnership (for the record, I’m not familiar enough with the OpenAI/Shopify partnership, and I don’t know how it will manifest in ChatGPT). The more we use AI tools, combined with their growing intelligence and our increasing reliance on them, the more they shape our decisions and narrow the options we consider, especially when our prompts aren’t clear enough. Influencer marketing is a legitimate, proven channel that delivers real results. We need to start thinking about AI in the same way; as a powerful new influencer shaping choices at scale. That’s why I’m really curious to see how AI-aware marketing will evolve. AIO and AEO are just the beginning. What’s next? #AIProductManagement #LLMstrategy #ProductMarketing #InfluencerMarketing #AIO #AEO #ChatGPT

Arik Waldman shared thisLast week I was part of a panel with Seetvun Amir, Gali Zisman, Nadav Naaman at a Vertex Ventures Israel event organized by Tami Bronner and Yaara Kassner, where we discussed how AI is changing product management. One of the topics we covered was how AI is reshaping product moats - and what defensibility means today. Following the event, I wrote about what product defensibility looks like now – and how to actually build it. Read the full article below. Would love to hear: How are you thinking about moats and defensibility in the AI era? #AIProductManagement #ProductStrategy #AIStrategy #Moats #ProductLeadership #Innovation #StartupsStop Building AI Features. Arik Waldman reacted on thisArik Waldman reacted on thisToday, we are announcing $13M in Seed funding, led by Notable Capital, with participation from Holly Ventures, AlphaDrive Ventures, SVCI - Silicon Valley CISO Investments, Jefferies Family Office, and over 60 founders and CISOs . It's exciting to see our vision come to life: giving security teams the ability to use agents to drive real security outcomes, not just another tool bolted onto an already sprawling stack, but a true agentic layer that lets human and AI analysts work side by side. We're seeing this play out with our customers already. Enterprises across financial services, insurance, and technology are moving off legacy security architectures onto Beacon, and we've grown 300% in ARR in H1 2026 as a result. None of this happens without the team. Or Mattatia, Iddo Israely, and the rest of the Beacon team have poured everything into building this with me, and I couldn't be more grateful to be doing this alongside them. This funding lets us go faster on what we set out to build from day one: an intelligent agent runtime and context layer that lets security teams defend at the speed AI now demands.

A year ago, that would’ve ruined my day. Today? I laughed… …and made the next dial. One bad conversation doesn’t deserve to ruin the next one. The same phone that delivers rejection also books your biggest opportunities. You just have to keep dialing. What’s the harshest thing someone’s ever said to you on a cold call? Noah Reiss, back to the phones, documenting the chaos one call at a time. (Follow along :) )

But when you look at it from the heart, it feels like home. Today, I am parting ways with Wix, the place where I grew, evolved, and became who I am today. Throughout these years, I have had the privilege of working alongside remarkable people — friends and partners — on a path unlike anything I've experienced elsewhere. The unique DNA of Wix, the organizational culture, and the ability to execute a shared vision are things I will carry with me wherever I go. I am especially proud of what we built together, and of how we successfully integrated Tech Career Israel graduates (an Israeli program training engineers from the Ethiopian-Israeli community) into the company. Seeing how a single opportunity can change the course of a person's life and impact those around them has been a great honor for me. After 11 incredible years, I've decided it's time for the next challenge. I am embarking on a new independent journey into entrepreneurship and new beginnings. It is both exciting and challenging, and I approach it with great passion to build new solutions, make an impact, and apply everything I have learned along the way. Thank you to everyone who was part of my years at Wix — for the friendship, the learning, and the trust. I look forward to this new chapter and to what lies ahead. #Wix #Entrepreneurship #NewBeginnings #Founders

The AI era is creating a world of machines that never stop: robotaxis, humanoids, drones, satellites, and autonomous defense systems operating around the clock. But today’s batteries weren’t designed for that world. Always-on machines need batteries built for continuous operation, higher performance, longer life, and greater efficiency. That’s why we created Addionics Autonomous Architecture™️: a new battery architecture built for the always-on AI era. The AI era needs a new battery architecture. Addionics is building it.

Arik Waldman reacted on thisArik Waldman reacted on thisA few weeks ago, I said it was time to apply some fresh AI to some old bricks. Now I'm beyond thrilled to announce that I have joined the IRANI CORP (FACTORY 54) (the massive retail force behind Factory 54 and top international fashion brands in Europe like LuluLemon, Hugo boss, Skimms and more) as their new Chief Technology Officer (CTO)! When I decided to step out of the VC world, I had a very specific itch to scratch. I wanted to help a successful, traditional company use AI not as a buzzword, but as a real operating advantage. When I met the leadership at Irani Group, it clicked instantly. Today, we are officially launching F54 AI Labs, backed by a $50 million investment, to build the future of retail tech. My mission? To lead the group's overall tech strategy and build cutting-edge AI platforms and AI Agents from the ground up. We are transforming everything - from supply chain and e-commerce to marketing, customer experience, and data-driven decision-making across Israel and Europe. But here is the best part, and what drew me in the most: we aren't building AI to replace humans. We are taking the deep, inherent knowledge of the fashion and retail world and automating the inefficient, manual tasks. We are giving superpowers to our teams - from HQ all the way to the amazing store clerks - so they can free up their time to focus on creativity, strategy, and delivering a world-class customer experience. The future of retail is going to be written at the exact intersection of brands, data, and AI. A massive thank you to Ifat and Roni Irani and the entire Irani family for their trust, partnership, and incredibly bold vision. And to Itamar Rayn and Debbie Shapiro - thanks for colluding to bring me on board! We are just getting started, and yes, we will be building a world-class team to make this happen. If you're passionate about building real-world AI that moves the needle, DM me. Time to build. Let’s go! 🚀 (Links to the PR in the comments below 👇)

Founder: “It feels like everything is possible in AI right now.” Me (VC): “That’s true. And that’s exactly what makes this moment tricky.” Investing in pre-seed Israeli AI startups never felt more exciting or more disorienting... At Remagine Ventures, we’re falling in love with ideas at an unprecedented rate. - Companies are adopting new tools, enabling young startups to get traction - Models are improving monthly. Tooling is cheap. - It genuinely feels like the entire market is up for grabs. But beneath the excitement, there are real headwinds. - OpenAI reportedly ran at an ~$8B loss in 2025, with some predicting insolvency by 2027. It needs massive funding to keep the lights on - VC funding hit record highs, but AI now takes half of all VC dollars (which is increasingly concentrated in mega-deals) - Enterprise pilot → paid conversion sits at just 12% (McKinsey & Company, 2025) So while it feels like everything is possible, not everything is viable. If we're realistic, most AI startups will fall in one of these buckets: - Some companies will build enduring businesses - Some will find strong strategic buyers - Many will struggle quietly as economics, competition, and buyer expectations catch up. At pre-seed, the hardest part isn’t spotting what’s impressive. It’s spotting what’s resilient: 1) real wedges, not demos 2) painful problems, not cool tech 3) credible paths to distribution, not just early usage 4) founders who can navigate model shifts, pricing pressure, and buyer fatigue 5) a reinforcement learning advantage - the more data we get, the better the product becomes So when a founder tells me “everything is possible,” my next question is usually: What makes this company one that can last when the excitement fades?
