Yali Harari shared thisI spent last week in the UK, and I keep coming back to one image. A wall of drawings made by children, thanking their bus drivers. It was a good week. I met with some of the operators we work with in London, the people who keep a city moving every single day. I visited the London Stock Exchange. Plenty of conversations about technology, performance, and what comes next. But this is the picture I took home. Every rainbow, every wobbly red bus, every "thank you" in a child's handwriting is about one person. The driver. Someone who got hundreds of people where they needed to be, safely, without anyone thinking twice about it. That's the job we get to support every day. Not vehicles. People. To everyone I met last week, thank you for the time and the warmth. And to the drivers behind every one of these drawings: you are the reason any of this matters. Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to manage and escort an international media delegation focused on smart mobility and transportation innovation here in Israel. Seeing these breakthroughs firsthand and ensuring our guests experienced the absolute best of our tech ecosystem was truly inspiring. The direction of the industry is clear: in an interview at the summit, Elon Musk boldly predicted that in just 10 years, 90% of all cars will be fully autonomous. We attended The Samson International Smart Mobility Summit 2026 with Gil Adda, hosted by the Israel Ministry of Transport | משרד התחבורה, alongside Israel Innovation Authority רשות החדשנות, and Israel Export Institute מכון היצוא. Out of 90 startups and companies redefining transportation, a few completely stood out: Electreon (Gilad Sharon): Embedding wireless charging coils in roads to power EVs dynamically, reducing the need for massive batteries. Electrification doesn't reduce the importance of how a bus is driven. It amplifies it. I lost my older brother when I was young, an experience that shaped much of who I am and why we started Empathy. That’s why I’m especially proud that Empathy is now an official partner of Experience Camps for Grieving Children, an extraordinary nonprofit helping children who have lost a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. They create something incredibly powerful: a place where kids can connect with others who truly understand, and realize they don’t have to carry grief alone. Support shouldn’t depend on your age, where you work, or who your insurer is. It should simply be there when families need it.
