Over the past few months, I invested countless hours 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 every idea in my presentation. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐈 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐲: 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬 Before stepping onto the stage, I wanted every idea to earn its place—stress-tested from different perspectives and questioned from every angle I could think of. My goal wasn't simply to speak about AI. It was to start a conversation about leadership, uncertainty, ownership, and the human decisions that technology can never replace. What made this experience truly special wasn't just standing on the stage—it was what happened after the session. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. And the generous feedback shared by so many participants. This short video captures a few of those reactions and reflections. I'm deeply grateful to everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, shared honest perspectives, and made this session such a memorable experience. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Regional Scrum Gathering Hyderabad organizing team, the volunteers, the reviewers who believed in the session proposal, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to create such a wonderful conference and an exceptional experience for every speaker and attendee. To everyone else refreshing job boards, applying for positions that have been posted for 30+ days, competing against 100+ applicants, and watching companies add new openings while the old ones remain untouched....I see you. 💡The Power of One Small “No”: A Story on Assertiveness at Work Meet Ashwini — a high-performing individual contributor who rose to the role of Team Lead in a software organization. Her growth was driven by capability and commitment. But there was one leadership skill she had never truly practiced: assertiveness. Despite expanding responsibilities, her reporting manager rarely provided the resources she needed. Ashwini didn’t speak up. She always said yes — even when it came at a personal cost. Over time, the silence turned into frustration, hurt, and emotional fatigue. One Friday evening overwhelmed and exhausted, she told her husband she was ready to resign. He listened, then offered a simple but powerful reflection: “You’ve worked hard to get here. Before giving up, try saying ‘No’ when it matters.” That weekend, she sat with this thought. On Monday, she chose a different path — a small but courageous beginning. She started expressing her needs clearly. She prepared her case. She spoke with confidence. And slowly, she rebuilt the boundaries she had ignored. To her surprise, her manager responded. He began to understand her intent, respect her voice, and align with her needs. Had she quit, she would have missed discovering her leadership edge — assertiveness. Assertiveness isn’t loud. It isn’t aggressive.
