US Supreme Court Rejects Trump's Birthright Order, Big Relief For Indians In US

In a landmark 6-3 ruling, the US Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump's executive order seeking to restrict birthright citizenship. The decision preserves the constitutional guarantee that children born on American soil automatically become US citizens, regardless of their parents' immigration status or visa category.The verdict is particularly significant for the Indian community, with millions of Indians living, studying and working in the United States on temporary visas and over one million waiting in the employment-based Green Card backlog. Community leaders have welcomed the judgment, calling it a major victory for the Constitution and immigrant families.
