Rebecca Stenson shared thisA huge thank you to Henry Burrows for answering my plea a few weeks ago and helping my son, Archie Stenson , secure some work experience. He has had the most incredible week at Future and has learnt so much. The entire team went out of their way to make him feel welcome, taking the time to talk to him about different career paths and giving him hands-on experience in videography, editing, podcast production and camera work. Archie has loved every second of it and has come away inspired, motivated and even more excited about pursuing a career in the creative media industry. It's easy to underestimate the impact a week of work experience can have on a young person, but opportunities like this can genuinely help shape their confidence, aspirations and future direction. Thank you again, Henry, and to everyone at Future for being so generous with your time, knowledge and encouragement. It has meant a great deal to Archie and to us as a family.

I’m currently recruiting for a genuinely exciting role based in London, managing a huge multi-site retail branding and installation programme across the UK. We’re looking for someone who understands: ✔️ Retail fit-outs / installations ✔️ Brand standards ✔️ Managing contractors and suppliers ✔️ Multi-site project delivery ✔️ Keeping lots of moving parts aligned and accountable Fuel industry experience isn’t essential at all. In fact, we’d happily look at people from wider retail, supermarkets, hospitality, high street brands, store refits, signage or refurbishment backgrounds. This is NOT a sit-in-a-corner PM role. Rebecca Stenson shared thisA bit of a long shot, but I wondered if my LinkedIn network might be able to help 🙏🏻🙏🏻 My son Archie is desperately trying to secure some work experience in TV, film, photography or videography/media… and he’s struggling! He’s written to so many companies already but hasn’t had much luck so far. He’s 17, studying Business & Media at Stamford School , and is hugely passionate about photography, videography and brand content creation. He’s heading out to Zambia this summer to work for the charity Project Luangwa and create a brand documentary for Flatdogs safari camp. His dream is to create brand documentaries for safari companies and make wildlife documentaries (super niche!!). His work experience is offically supposed to be for a week, but he would be grateful for anything he can get— even a day shadowing someone would be amazing. I have lots of connections in fuel & education but sadly nothing in the creative industries 😬 If anyone has any contacts, recommendations, or knows of someone who might be open to giving an enthusiastic young person an opportunity, I’d be incredibly grateful for an introduction or message. Rebecca Stenson shared thisOn Sunday I posted about a new initiative I’m launching to bring women in business together for a retreat in Ibiza. I’ve been genuinely blown away by the response. The number of messages and conversations that followed made it clear that many of us are feeling the same thing — running businesses and leading organisations is incredibly rewarding, but it can also be relentless, lonely and exhausting. We spend so much time supporting teams, clients and organisations that we rarely give ourselves the space to pause, think and reset. There is very little support out there for female leaders, and I want to change that! Because of the interest, I’ve decided to create a bespoke Ibiza retreat specifically for female founders and senior leaders within the fuel, education and recruitment sectors — industries I’ve worked in for many years and where I know there are some truly inspiring women. The retreat will take place 7th–14th April 2027 in a beautiful private villa in Ibiza, featured in the attached video. This won’t be a conference or a traditional business event. Instead, it will be a small group of women coming together for a week to step away from the day-to-day pressures of running businesses, share experiences and spend time with other women who understand the journey. Mornings will begin with gentle yoga followed by relaxed breakfasts overlooking the hills. The days will include paddle boarding, forest walks, beach trips and time to simply step back and recharge. There will also be opportunities for informal conversations around leadership, building businesses, navigating challenges and what the next chapter might look like — the kind of discussions that often happen naturally when ambitious women step away from the day-to-day. Evenings will be spent around the table with incredible food prepared by our private chef, sunset cocktails and plenty of laughter. For anyone feeling brave, there will also be an optional fire-walking experience — a powerful reminder of what we’re capable of when we step outside our comfort zones. The retreat will be limited to a small group of 10–12 women to keep it intimate and meaningful. Rebecca Stenson shared thisToday is International Women’s Day, and it feels like the perfect moment to share something new I’ve been building. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting some incredible women through business, both in the fuel industry and the education sector. Despite our very different careers, many of the conversations have been surprisingly similar. Sometimes women feel unsupported at work. Sometimes juggling the responsibilities of motherhood and a career can feel overwhelming, yet we rarely say it out loud for fear of appearing as though we can’t cope. This year, I’m also reaching a milestone birthday. My children are preparing to leave home, and a new chapter of life is beginning. Like many women, I’ve found myself reflecting on what comes next. When I set up Refuel Talent 20 years ago, there was very little support for female entrepreneurs. I remember attending a Federation of Small Businesses meeting and feeling completely out of place — like a fish out of water. Over the years, I realised that many women quietly feel the same way: capable, ambitious, but often lacking a real support network. So I’ve decided to create something a little different. I want to build a tribe of women — a community where like-minded women can connect, support and inspire each other. The moments that have inspired me most in life have often come through travel, meeting other women around the world and sharing stories and experiences. Some are teachers. Some are running businesses. Some are navigating new chapters as children leave home. Others are simply ready to explore more of the world. I’m still very much continuing my work in recruitment through Refuel Talent and Academea but alongside that, I’ve felt the pull to create something that brings women together beyond work — a space built around connection, shared experiences and supporting each other. Today feels like the right moment to launch Travel Tribe. Travel Tribe is a place where women can connect, share inspiration and build friendships, while creating opportunities to explore the world alongside other incredible women. Curated thoughtful bespoke travel experiences to challenge you, empower you and help foster new relationships with like-minded ladies. Imagine climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with an incredible group of women, challenging yourself and empowering each other whilst you climb. Rebecca Stenson reacted on thisRebecca Stenson reacted on thisBeing frightened of making a mistake is often more disruptive than making the mistake itself. A new team members asked me a question at our first check in: "Is it really true that it's OK to make a mistake at Kesson?" Already assured by her manager, it is she wanted to check this was actually true. Apparently in previous jobs, mistakes had led to disciplinary procedures. She talked about her surprise on how relaxed our end-of-month team meeting was. We shared the numbers with the team - good and bad - and talked about what we could do together to improve them. It was the most relaxed month-end she'd ever experienced. Growing a people centred business means mistakes will happen. People make mistakes, what matters is what happens next. If you are honest as soon as you can be, help solve the problem and share the learning so we avoid repeating it I can't ask more than that. It is fear that worries me. Fear changes behaviour, it stops people trying, it slows down decisions and it encourages hiding rather than learning. Do we always get this right? Probably not. But I'd much rather build a culture where people feel safe to learn than frightened to fail.

Rebecca Stenson liked thisRebecca Stenson liked this2 weeks ago we launched our first ever Greggs Express as part of a trial with Motor Fuel Group at their filling station near Glasgow Airport. As the Implementation Manager for the project it’s been a huge learning curve, and working cross functionally to get the first one over the line is one of my proudest career moments! What was even nicer was going back this week and seeing how genuinely enthusiastic and excited the team still were about Greggs and chatting to customers who were taking pictures for their social media and telling me how happy they were to get a sausage roll! There are so many people who made this happen! It’s been a proper cross functional achievement with so much support from our suppliers. Thank you all! Looking forward to seeing how the trial progresses!
