In Summer 2023 Ben Brabyn started the first Walkabout, which still runs every fourth Tuesday of each month at 5pm at Green Park. Little did any of us know that the desire to meet with people and go for a walk would be so powerful for so many.

Ben's company, Amitypath, is now creating and developing more and more ways to both expand walkabout around the world and also derive purposeful value from the power of the network to help solve gnarly, wicked and complex problems, the sort of problems that need a wildly varied network of minds to bring their focus to. -
Level 2 Coach
Basketball England
- Present 2 years 9 months
I coached my University team back in the 1980s, then the Cayman Islands U18 national team in the mid to late 1990s. Having reconnected with one of those Cayman players last year, I chose to shift away from many years of swim refereeing back to Basketball coaching, and am now one again loving coaching age group players in one of the clubs local to where I live.

It was a pleasure to be a part of this amazing community created, curated and hosted by Roland Harwood. Everything liminal has a season, so Roland wound up the network in September 2023.
The world is complex, the future is unknown. You feel it: we do too. Are you wondering what to do next? You're not alone. One thing we know: change happens, and it hurts if you're not ready.

Supporting Diversity Of Thought on Boards.
It was a pleasure to meet a number of the people in this community, as well as to mentor some, including one over a period of several years.
This network continues to thrive, which I am happy to see as I choose to move on to create more space for what comes next in terms of supporting in new ways to promote inclusion, equity and diversity on boards. -

This was a time of much growth and maturation of the sport (our primary activity was youth and adult competitive swimming) in Cayman, during which we took every challenge as an opportunity.

By 2013 we had a national technical director and long term strategic plan in place, plus we had developed and built programmes that saw higher levels and numbers representing Cayman both as athletes and as officials internationally, plus successfully developing a multi-club environment.
In the decade or so since, the sport has continued to develop, with many more athletes going on to college swimming (and scholarships), and with a key achievement being our first world champion in Jordan Crooks in 2022! -

Ron Tanner
Ron Tanner
I’m a mentor, advisor and coach to business leaders.

I specialise in helping CEOs and leaders develop their strategic and personal agendas for building successful long-term value for their businesses.

What makes different from other coaches in this field? Firstly, I understand the numbers. I began my career as a Chartered Accountant with one of the ‘big four’ practices and then founded and ran my own successful firm for many years. Secondly, I invested in a significant amount of personal development so I could better understand the drivers behind people’s choices and why they often need not only business advice but also a few home truths. Thirdly, for fifteen years I was a UK partner with Shirlaws, a successful, international business coaching partnership, well known for its elegant business frameworks.

A client recently said: “Tanner has both a sharp focus on data, numbers, systems and processes and a deep understanding of the role that leadership, culture, values, vision and energy all play within an organisation. His contribution to The Big Lemon is invaluable.” Tom Druitt, CEO, The Big Lemon
