We ran thousands of real-world adversarial scenarios against coding, productivity, and first-party agents. More than 1,700 attacks succeeded. 💥 36% of successful coding-agent attacks reached remote code execution. ☠️ 91% of successful productivity-agent attacks ended in silent data exfiltration. 💣 4,242 tracked MCP servers carry at least one vulnerability. The pattern is clear: indirect prompt injection is becoming the gateway into the agentic enterprise. Threat actors are not waiting for security teams to catch up. The report introduces #AiPT, LAVA, and the Straiker STAR Framework, built from what our researchers are seeing across production agents, tools, data, and MCP infrastructure. Here's a look at what that means and why it starts to give me perspective on risks & benefits of AI workflows within the enterprise. Yesterday we sent the first weekly coalition newsletter that then turned into an engine for future work. Three things stood out, and all three map directly to enterprise workflow concepts: 1. Orchestration beats integration. Claude Cowork reached into our CRM (Attio) and email (Google), pulled live signup data, drafted the update, and staged it to send. Two years ago that's a multi-month integration project. The reason it took seconds here: Attio ships a native MCP connector, so it plugged straight into Claude. Attio making it easy to connect is a quiet adoption story...the companies building native, AI-ready experiences (MCP connectors, clean APIs) are the ones earning "headless" usage. 2. Humans stay in the loop by design. My first data pull reported 5,490 "members." I knew the real number was 291. The system had counted every record in the database; it took someone who understood how the data should be queried to catch it. Now that the query is verified, I can make it repeatable and controllable for future work. 3. Once you work out the kinks, you schedule it with a feedback loop. The newsletter now drafts itself every week, logs what's driving engagement, and gets a little sharper each run. That's the line between a one-off demo and a real process with hardened edge cases. At Deloitte, I'm hearing a lot of clients ask what the return on AI is. It's a tough question to answer. Separating causation vs. correlation is hard and there is a lot of waste that comes from "tokenmaxxing". What is undeniable is there is immense amounts of value being created. For me, hands on experience is a leading indicator of what we can begin to scale into enterprise. What started as a fun side project to teach myself how to use Anthropic's Claude, has turned into bringbackhuskyfootball.com, a coalition working to fund athletics and restore football at St. Cloud State University. An effort that would have taken a small army 2 years ago, has turned into a small army of 300 former athletes before going public with our efforts. Have I "wasted" time & money along the way? Maybe. But I've also talked to my former teammates and made connections with other alumni that would have never been possible if friction wasn't removed from the process. Special thanks to Joe Everson, Joseph Winandy, Ross Kees, DC, CCSP, CSCS, Matthew Schwartz, CFP®, CRPC®, Phillip Klaphake, Steven Little, and countless others that have given me energy from the human connection AI can't offer. Resilience is standing back up after you were sure you couldn't. And joy -- the kind you can't fake -- is what's waiting on the other side of all five. Seven years alcohol-free. Not a sacrifice. An upgrade. Every clear morning. Every honest conversation. Every workout earned. That's the life. I didn't find happiness by chasing it. I found it by building something worth showing up for every single day. The prize is in the process. Keep going. I believe in you.
