Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 shared thisBy the third hour at the OHCA conference last week, booths started blending together. Pens. Snacks. Tote bags. Booth after booth trying to be memorable. One woman was explaining how her company sells wound dressings. As she spoke, I glanced down at the pile of giveaway items at her booth. ➡️ Purple pens. ➡️ Wine openers. ➡️ Salty snacks. None of it had anything to do with wound care. And before I even had time to think, I said: “You should give out salad dressing.” She stared at me for a second trying to figure out whether I was serious. Then it clicked. The best branding gives people something to remember you by. Two weeks from now, nobody remembers the pen. But salad dressing from a wound care company? That sticks. 🥗 What swag have you actually kept?

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 posted thisWeight Watchers didn’t lose weight. They lost people. It started with a circle of chairs in Queens. People showing up for each other. Connection. Support. Structure. A place people felt they belonged. ⚖️ By the mid-2010s, things shifted. Attendance dropped. Competition grew. “Wellness.” Apps. Tracking. They gained efficiency. But lost the feeling. The human layer disappeared. So did their place in people’s lives. ⚖️ I see this in healthcare all the time. Great care isn’t the differentiator. Connection is. If people don’t feel something when they hear your name, you fade. Your brand isn’t what you say. It’s how you show up. That's what people remember. ⚖️ What’s helped you stick with a diet?

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 shared thisI hesitated to repost this. But saw it again and paused.Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 shared thisDay 12 — Honoring Everyday People: Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 Some people comment to be seen. Malka comments to see others. If you’ve spent five minutes on LinkedIn, you’ve probably felt Malka’s trademark generosity, thoughtful remarks, encouragement without agenda, and a knack for spotlighting what makes people special. When I shared about being widowed, and that my kids and I love puzzles, Malka didn’t just “like” the post, she quietly found my office address and mailed us a puzzle. No fanfare. Just kindness. Professionally, Malka’s the real deal, Healthcare Branding at scale (175+ nursing homes and counting) and the driving force behind Better Co. Marketing. But what I admire most is that her brand begins at home: notice people, elevate them, and leave everything better than you found it. At the moment, she's doing amazing work with Goldman Sachs Thank you, Malka, for making this platform more human and for reminding us that the best marketing is caring. #HonoringEverydayPeople #Gratitude #KindnessInBusiness #HealthcareBranding #LinkedInFam

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 shared thisI'm at a red light after morning carpool. Cold. Still in drop-off mode. I look to my right. Older people are standing on the corner holding signs. "Honk for freedom." "Protest is patriotic." "IKEA has better cabinets." Cabinets? I'm lost. 🪧 I'm stuck at the light, so I roll down my window. "What are you protesting?" The woman closest to me smiles. "The Constitution's being violated." I'm still stuck on IKEA. Is this a protest or a furniture ad? "What's with the cabinets?" She brightens. "IKEA has better cabinets than the government." It's funny. And no one driving by gets the joke. If you're going to stand on a cold street corner at 7:45 am, you don't get a second sentence. 👇 Explain what you do in six words.

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 shared thisEveryone on the East Coast is getting ready for snow. ❄️ A neighbor asked if my boys could shovel snow while she’s away. I said yes. This week she came over with an envelope. Inside were three copies of instructions. One for my 10th grader. One for my 8th grader. One for me. The job itself was simple: clear the sidewalk in front and up to the door. Then came the backups. If you can’t reach her, call her sister. If you can’t reach the sister, call her husband’s friend. She gave his cell. And his home number. If that doesn’t work, here’s their hotel in Florida. And whose name the reservation is under. I held the pages and realized how seriously she was taking this. At a certain point, the sidewalk started to feel important. ❄️ What’s something you always over-prepare for?

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 posted thisI posted 22 times on LinkedIn in 2025. That was intentional. I don’t believe consistency is about volume. It’s about showing up with something worth saying. Less noise. More intention. ✍️ What kind of year was it for you- more posting, less posting, or mostly reading?

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 shared thisTwo weeks ago, I did something that felt impossible: I had a one-on-one conversation with Mike Bloomberg. I attended the Goldman Sachs 10KSB Summit in Washington DC, where 2,200 entrepreneurs gathered to hear legends like Kevin O’Leary, Martha Stewart, Michael Phelps, and Mike Bloomberg. I went with one goal: talk to Mike Bloomberg. That felt nearly impossible. The speakers weren’t mingling. They exited through back doors. Private elevators. Roped-off areas. Then a small door opened. I was invited to join a special photo with Bloomberg and 80 graduates from the Goldman Sachs Baltimore program. As the last camera flashed, I made my way straight to Bloomberg. We spoke one-on-one. A minute. Short, but meaningful. 💬 I didn’t realize how quickly that minute would come full circle. Thirty minutes later, Bloomberg stepped onto the stage, now facing 2,200 entrepreneurs in the audience, and spoke about persistence, exactly what I had just lived. ➡️ Bloomberg said the best salespeople don’t stop after rejection. They knock again. A “no” isn’t always forever. Sometimes it means “not yet.” ➡️ He said GOOD salespeople move on to the next door after a “no.” GREAT salespeople knock again on the same door. Bloomberg was fired after 15 years at his job. The next day, he started his own company. He bought a coffee jug and a small fridge - and began knocking on doors at 6am, offering coffee just to get a foot in. Three years passed before a single yes. Today? 27,000 employees. The lesson hasn’t changed: keep knocking. 💬 Your turn: Who’s someone famous you met and where did it happen?

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 posted thisMy daughter’s 2nd-grade teacher was teaching the story of Noah’s Ark. The teacher asked, “What color was the dove?” The class shouted, “White!” Then she asked, “What color was the raven?” Before anyone could answer, my daughter jumped up and yelled, “Purple and black!” Baltimore’s Ravens had clearly taken over her imagination. That’s the power of branding. Branding isn’t your logo or colors. It's what pops into people's minds the moment they hear your name. 💜 Now I'm curious… who's your team??

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 posted this“A plane just hit the Twin Towers.” My coworker’s voice shook. I froze. Planes don’t hit buildings, do they? I was new to New York, fresh from Los Angeles. The towers weren’t familiar, and I didn’t yet grasp their significance. My boss walked through the office, pale, telling us to go home. None of us fully understood what was happening. This was before smartphones or social media. On my way home, I ran errands, buying a dress for Rosh Hashana. I didn’t yet realize the magnitude of what was unfolding. On a whim, I stopped to visit my dear friend, Mrs. Goodman, at her assisted living apartment. I stepped inside, and froze. My eyes locked on the TV. Smoke poured from the Twin Towers. People ran in panic. My chest tightened. My hands shook. The world I thought I knew had crumbled in an instant. 🇺🇸 That day reminded me that being out of touch isn’t just personal, it can be fatal in business too. Ignore your team, and key talent walks out. Repeat the same marketing message, and clients quietly choose competitors. 𝘛𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥, 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵: 💥 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 💥 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 💥 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 Being present and responsive isn’t optional. It separates leaders who survive from those who thrive. Standing firm in your values, as Charlie Kirk exemplified, leaves a lasting mark. 🇺🇸 That day changed everything. Where were you on 9/11?

Suddenly he stopped short. He pointed to a much shorter tree. Its branches stretched wide across the entire lawn. “That’s the kind of tree I like,” he said with a big smile 😊 It made me think 🤔 … Maybe he liked it because it was reachable. It embraced him instead of towering over him. It felt welcoming 🤗 There is a lesson here for me as the owner of #Act2Interiors. Maybe the goal isn’t to be the biggest design firm. We may not be the tallest tree in the forest. ✅ But we are always reachable. ✅ We answer questions promptly. ✅ We solve problems immediately. ✅ We embrace every project as if it were our own. ✅ We want every client we work with to succeed. Because their success is our success❗️ Sometimes the strongest businesses aren’t the ones that stand the tallest. Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 reacted on thisMalka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 reacted on thisSomething happened yesterday that I can’t stop thinking about. I took my daughter to Niagara Falls for a few days before she gets married. One last father-daughter trip before someone else gets promoted to dealing with her full-time. We were at Journey Behind the Falls. She went into the gift shop to buy souvenirs. I stepped outside because apparently Canada had decided to boil everyone indoors. I told her I’d wait right outside. She didn’t hear me. A few minutes later, she couldn’t find me. Her phone wasn’t working in Canada, so she started asking strangers if she could borrow theirs. Just one quick call. “I can’t find my father.” She asked around fifteen people. Different ages. Different backgrounds. Different languages. Niagara Falls is basically the United Nations wearing ponchos. Every one of them said no. She eventually walked outside and found me standing about twenty feet away, completely relaxed, enjoying the fresh air, while she had already planned my memorial service. We both laughed about it. Then she told me how scared she had been. That stayed with me. I understand why people hesitate. Our phones hold our banking, emails, passwords, family photos, and half our lives. Handing one to a stranger isn’t a small thing anymore. But I still can’t shake the image of a young woman saying, “I can’t find my father,” and fifteen people deciding the safest answer was no. I don’t think they were bad people. I think we’ve become so used to protecting ourselves that helping someone now feels like the bigger risk. My daughter found me. Everything turned out fine. I just hope that if your daughter, or mine, ever needs to borrow a phone for thirty seconds… …someone remembers that not every stranger is a threat.

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 liked thisMalka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 liked thisToday is a special day in our family... It's my hubbys & my dads birthday. Two very different men. Two very different personalities. Both have played a huge role in shaping my life. My dad taught me lessons that have stayed with me for decades, and my husband has supported me through career changes, crazy ideas, and all the adventures that come with raising a family together. Birthdays are a good reminder that life moves quickly, and the people we get to share it with are the greatest gift of all. Happy Birthday to two men who mean so much to me. I hope your day is as wonderful as you both deserve. ❤️

Malka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 reacted on thisMalka Frankel 👨🏻🦳 👵🏻 reacted on thisThe Boy Who Cried Wolf doesn't just ruin it for himself. He ruins it for everyone after him. Every catering company has that customer. Wednesday night at 12:00. "Yanky, I completely forgot. I need 10 extra Shabbos boxes for my staff. They're counting on me. Is there any way you can make it happen?" Of course we'll try. We call the chef. Someone can come in early. The kitchen will adjusts production. The office starts preparing the order. Everyone drops what they're doing because we genuinely want to help. Then Thursday morning... I reach out to him and get a response, "I'm so sorry. Things changed. We don't need them anymore." It's not the canceled order that hurts the most. It's what happens the next time. The next time that a customer has an emergency, its harder to respond "Let's make this happen." It's, "Let's wait until the order is confirmed." Not because we don't care. Because we've learned. At Next Level Taste, we'll always do everything we can to help when a customer is in a bind. We just need to know if the work is actually needed and not just in theory.

My #1 content marketing tip for business owners & dental professionals: Be clear. Always. (especially if you want to attract the right clients) Your potential patients and clients are busy. They’re scrolling fast. If you want to stop them in their tracks: ✅ Remember—they don’t know you yet ✅ Remember—they want answers, not jargon ✅ Remember—they’ll stay if they feel you understand their needs Social media is still social—it’s where trust is built before they ever call your office. If you want to reach the people who matter, you need to: **Use simple language they instantly understand **Share stories or tips that stick in their mind **Cut the fluff and filler **Keep it short, valuable, and focused on them **Always have ONE clear takeaway Example: 🛑 Don’t say: “Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental procedure that removes stains.” ✅ Say: “Want a whiter, brighter smile in just one visit? Here’s how professional whitening works (and why it lasts longer than DIY kits).” Your content should feel like a roadmap with ONE destination: From confused → curious → ready to trust you. Do this consistently, and you’ll build authority AND attract the right people to your business.

If there's one lesson about getting clients, it's network, network, network. It's about being talked about in rooms you're not in. Provide real value to people because you want to help them succeed. Build a network of freelancers, agencies, and business owners that you can lean on—and who can lean on you. Clients often overrate tactics without strategy, focusing on social media and daily posts without a clear audience, message, or channel. They underrate customer retention and lifetime value, neglecting to maximize the value of existing customers, which is more profitable than acquiring new ones. #Networking #ClientAcquisition #MarketingStrategy #CustomerRetention #LifetimeValue

I do websites differently than I did even 6 months ago. I see a potential for service based business owners that I haven’t seen done before. Most service-based businesses are posting nonstop, trying new platforms, and tweaking their content daily… while ignoring the ONE asset that has the power to sell for them no matter what that doesn’t rely on algorithms or trends or content getting banned or flagged. Most of your competitors treat their brand like an afterthought and their website like a digital business card. Unclear. Outdated. Generic. Designed to “exist,” not to convert. And honestly…BORING. Why not turn it into an experience that they’ve never had before? Right now YOU have a massive advantage. While everyone else is fighting to be seen in noisy online spaces, you can build authority in the one place buyers rely on to make their final decision. Clarity Credibility Conversion Here is the brand and website system that almost no coaches or service based entrepreneurs are doing: 1. A brand identity that communicates authority the moment someone lands on your page 2. A website EXPERIENCE that makes people want to be in your world even more 3. A guided journey that turns visitors into inquiries quickly 4. Moving content to your website that constantly converts into sales You’re already regretting not starting that email list sooner… at Christmas time 10 years from now you don’t want to be wishing you had started compounding all your content onto your website to constantly be making sales, referrals, affiliate income and more - whatever YOU want. Because YOU own it.
