Marco Martinez liked thisMarco Martinez liked thisSometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest impact!💙 Like when you call your new boss at your new job after hours one evening to ask for some unexpected time off starting the following week…. and he graciously listens and says yes without judgement or pressure or guilt. You see my friend Mark had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer with a limited life expectancy. Our friends had invited him to visit, but he was afraid to travel alone given his declining health. When he shared this with me I volunteered to travel with him not knowing at the time that he meant in five days.😂 But I could sense how important it was to him so I made that call to my new boss. Five days later we flew to the Pacific Northwest for what would become an adventure of a lifetime for both of us! For Mark it was his final adventure on this earth. He passed away three months after our trip. But the memories we created and the blessings we experienced during our time in Hood River, Oregon, are a constant source of joy and inspiration.💛 These pictures were taken one year ago today on Cannon Beach - our first stop after we landed in Portland! It was spectacular! Remembering Mark and so grateful for a boss who said yes!🙌 Great leaders take the time to listen, to understand what’s important to their people, and remain flexible when life throws us curve balls! I will never forget the gift I was given because of that yes!! Thank you DLK!

I thought I had a picture of what new motherhood would feel like. Instead I got something better, more honest, and a lot more humbling. Getting to spend this much time with him has given me moments I know I’ll never get back. Watching him figure out the world a little more each day isn’t something I’ll trade for anything. 💼 What’s Next On the career side, I’m in full networking mode. Having real conversations, pushing myself to apply even when I don’t check every box on paper, because I’m learning the “perfect fit” is rarely something you find. It’s something you grow into. The conversation has shifted. A year ago, agentic AI was something people were planning for. But last week, it was what everyone was already navigating. On the AWS side, that’s showing up in the product. The new Co-Sell and Onboarding agents in Partner Central are live, available via MCP for CRM integration. 🚨 If you’re still running manual co-sell workflows, these capabilities are the reason to stop treating the September 30 migration deadline as a future problem. For ISVs, the implications go further: how software gets discovered, how deals get structured, how partnerships get activated. Agents are becoming part of every layer. Most days, nobody outside the house sees the second system running at all. 🏠 The invisible math Working parents show up fully at work, then show up fully at home. That's not a one-day thing. That's just a Tuesday, and it resets every single day. ⚖️ The bridge The truth is, this balance never lands perfectly. It's chaotic by design, there's no version of working parenthood that runs clean. You just get better at running in chaos. Yesterday was my husband's first Father's Day. What made it special wasn't anything special. Coffee at our favorite spot, pancakes at our favorite place, then time by the pool. That was it. And of course I got him the perfect gifts. 👶 What changed for me Becoming a parent didn't just change my schedule... well, it did technically, but it also changed how I see every working parent on my team, my friends, and in my network. The ones logging off for school pickup, then back on after bedtime, the ones quietly excellent on four hours of sleep. 💬 The actual point Here's to the perfectly imperfect working parents out there.
