LinkedIn is part of Microsoft. Changing the settings would be too easy. Instead I have to delete the group and start a new one. So I have invited you all to the new one and I will delete this one later today. #baddesign

Even though we at Code42 have been saying for years that traditional DLP is awful, some people still don't believe us. But now that ChatGPT agrees...Joe Payne shared thisI asked #ChatGPT - "Why do people hate DLP?" Pretty spot on response IMO - this is stuff we hear from companies every single week. If you can relate to these examples, it might be time to take a look at Code42 as we built our approach to help companies avoid these exact complaints... - ( ChatGPT Response ) - Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is a strategy for making sure that end users do not send sensitive or critical information outside the corporate network. While DLP is crucial for many organizations, there are several reasons why some people might have negative feelings towards it: 1.) False Positives: DLP systems can sometimes flag innocent actions as data breaches, leading to unnecessary alerts and investigations. 2.) User Experience: DLP tools can potentially interrupt or slow down workflows. For example, if a DLP tool blocks an action, the user must take extra steps to complete their task. 3.) Complexity: DLP systems can be complex to implement and manage effectively. This might require a significant investment in time and resources. 4.) Privacy Concerns: Some people may feel that DLP tools invade their privacy, as these tools often involve monitoring user activity. 5.) Limited Effectiveness: No security tool is perfect, and DLP is no exception. Despite best efforts, breaches can still occur, leading some to question the effectiveness of DLP.
