Bellingham came on in the 79th and did his usual magic. Kane didn’t play. (I can’t remember hearing from the commentators who said that the England squad was only built around 2 players…..)
A fantastic game of football without all the dirty tactics of the Argie Bargies. The best game of the tournament by two sides whose hearts had been broken and not a lot to play for really.
Where was this performance in the semi final Argentina was there for taking just look at Cape Verde and Egypt, take the hand brake off !

I’m glad I watched it, what a spectacle, no talk of referee decisions or VAR, no really dirty play either. France had plenty of chances to win in the second half with some amazing flowing football. The camaraderie between English and French after the match was great to see too - so many of these players know each other. As an example of European football, this was fantastic - the Euros will be very entertaining!
