Camilla Friso Shields shared thisThis week I close an incredible chapter after more than 6 years at Salesforce. It’s hard to put into words how much this journey has shaped me, as a leader but most importantly as a person. Over the years, Salesforce became so much more than a company to me. A place that fundamentally changed the way I think about selling, leadership, teamwork, and growth. The learnings were continuous, challenging, and transformative - helping me become a little better every single year. A huge thank you to the SMB Sales organisation for what can only be described as a masterclass in selling, and to the South BDR organisation for trusting me to lead several incredible teams over the past 3.5 years. To all the hardworking, talented, and inspiring people I had the pleasure to work alongside and lead, a big Thank You. There are far too many people to mention individually, but you know who you are. Your ambition, resilience, and energy made this experience unforgettable. A special thank you to Juan Lucas Galan for the opportunity, trust, and support throughout the past few years. And finally, to my last team, the Enterprise BDR team for Italy, thank you for being an absolute team of rockstars. Your drive, talent, commitment, and ambition were inspiring every single day, and I have no doubt you all have an incredible future ahead. I’m so proud of everything we achieved together. I’m leaving this chapter with immense gratitude, lifelong friendships, and lessons that will stay with me forever. Very excited for what’s coming next ❤️

Last week, Harvey EMEA kicked off our new L&D program 'The Bar'. A program that brings in industry leaders, with content built for the pace and scale of where we are right now. To get us started, it was a pleasure to host Polly Barnes from EQT Group to run a session focused on the Founder Six and what it takes to be successful at a hyper-growth company like Harvey. Camilla Friso Shields liked thisCamilla Friso Shields liked thisQ3 kickoff. Gonzalo calls Carlo and me up in front of the whole EMEA team for the Build With Me Award. As legal engineers, our highest-touch way of working with clients starts with understanding pain points and bottlenecks, then using the power of AI to build tailored solutions and implementations, because AI doesn’t make sense without a human. Empowering human reasoning and critical thinking is the point. So we listen, we understand, we extrapolate, we build, sometimes even before they’re clients. Not expected. A little awkward standing up in front of a lot of people (we never thought we would be doing that), in the best way. Here’s what I think we are actually building. Not speed. Not automation for its own sake. A machine doing what a machine should, so a lawyer can finally do what only a lawyer can. Judgment. Instinct. Critical thinking. Creativity. The read on a room a document will never give you. Which leaves a real question: how do we keep the depth that used to come from doing the hard part ourselves. Maybe there’s another way to build it now. Maybe this industry is due to remember what a lawyer is actually for. That’s the question this team lives inside, sitting in the seam between law and engineering. Carlo, this one means more next to you. Gonzalo put us up there as one name, “Celia and Carlo, Carlo and Celia,” and most days, it is. None of this happens alone. Grateful to the entire Harvey crew that makes this possible, product and engineering, sales and customer success, recruiting and people, corporate legal, product ops, user operations, my fellow legal engineers, and the leadership that backs all of it. And yes, the AI itself, for building something worth standing up for. Lucky to be building this. Luckier to be doing it with this team.

The first time I met him, I gave him a big Kelly hug and he said "do I know you?" LOL. He didn't. But I knew him. And I told him I thought what he was doing was amazing and he said "all I really do is hire good people". Winston, that you do. And one of my very favorite men behind the man (yes, that is a quote from the movie Swingers) is K-Ming Lee. K-Ming, I love talking to you so much. You make me smarter every single time. I love this journey Foley & Lardner LLP and Harvey are on together with the rest of the legal profession. You are what makes it so special. Business IS personal. And it is all about the people. Thank you for making time for me!

From being rep #6 in EMEA to now over 15 on the MM team, closing out a $100M ARR Q2 globally as a company, visiting customers in places like Lisbon, Athens, Milan, Warsaw and Amsterdam, and helping get lawyers' hands on a tool that is genuinely lifechanging.
