‘Entire System Shakes When…’: Jantar Mantar Protesters Speak Ahead Of July 20 Sansad March

Ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Delhi Police has clarified that no permission has been sought or granted for the proposed Parliament march called by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on July 20. The force said prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) remain in force across the New Delhi district, barring unauthorised processions, demonstrations and gatherings except at the designated protest site at Jantar Mantar with prior approval.Police have warned that anyone participating in an unauthorised march towards Parliament could face prosecution under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and other applicable laws. Security has been significantly tightened around Parliament and key government installations as the Monsoon Session begins.The warning comes amid the ongoing protest linked to climate activist Sonam Wangchuk. While the Delhi High Court recently upheld the Centre's decision to shift Wangchuk to Safdarjung Hospital for medical monitoring during his hunger strike, his wife Gitanjali Angmo has announced that she will lead the proposed march to Parliament, keeping tensions high in the national capital.
