Joe Euteneuer liked thisJoe Euteneuer liked thisEurope’s space tech ecosystem doesn’t get enough credit for what it’s quietly building. Our latest European space tech map (V3) shows the most innovative space companies shaping the European ecosystem, from Build & Launch to Analyse & Product. Across the continent, over 5,000 companies are now active in space and satellite technologies, supported by ESA and EUSPA frameworks. The industry generates ~€8.8 billion annually and employs 60,000+ engineers and scientists. What makes Europe’s approach distinct is not scale, but structure. We’re building an interconnected network that combines scientific depth, industrial precision, and institutional reliability. You can see it in the details: Reusable logistics platforms emerging in Germany and France. Micro-launchers advancing in the Nordics. In-orbit servicing startups gaining traction in the UK. The investment landscape is catching up to this momentum. In 2024, venture capital flowed into upstream space technologies at record levels: 🇩🇪 Germany – $561M 🇪🇸 Spain – $274M 🇬🇧 UK – $250M 🇫🇷 France – $229M 🇫🇮 Finland – $134M 🇨🇭 Switzerland – $113M This shift to problem-solving investments is reflected in Europe’s largest space tech fundraises in the past 12 months: − The Exploration Company (France/Germany) – $160M, Series B − Isar Aerospace (Germany) – $165M, Series C − ICEYE(Finland) – $136M, Series D − KINEXON (Germany) – $130M, Series A − Descartes Underwriting (France) – $120M, Series B At APEX Ventures, we’re proud to back founders who are driving this transformation forward — companies like OKAPI:Orbits, ATMOS Space Cargo, OroraTech, Yuri each redefining what European innovation looks like in orbit. As always, we appreciate input from the ecosystem. If we missed any startups, let us know and we’ll add them to the revised version of this map. Joe Euteneuer reacted on thisI’ve been working on some exciting things lately! 🛰️ 🚘 Building a brand is one thing (still doing that), but bringing a complex technology to market is another. Over the years, sitting closely with developers and engineers and seeing a product evolve from concept to deployment has been one of the most rewarding parts of working in deep tech. Especially in satellite connectivity and mobility, where technology moves fast and no two days are the same. Product marketing sits at the intersection of technology, strategy and storytelling. It is not just about positioning a product, but understanding how it gets built, how it solves real problems, and how it can be made usable and commercially relevant. I’ve probably knocked on our Senior Application Systems Engineer Lukas Grillmayer's door a hundred times these past days, trying to understand every bolt and cable in our newest solution. Proud to share a glimpse of what we’ve been building with our AI-driven MOVE Smart-Switching Solution and the new Slim Kit, covered in beautiful chrome. A lot of thought has gone into making deployment simpler and faster, because adoption often starts with usability. Very cool to help bring innovations like this from engineering into the real world, together with a brilliant team.Joe Euteneuer reacted on thisWe spent yesterday in Munich filming our MOVE Smart-Switching Solution deployment demo, a good reminder that product innovation is not only about what technology can do, but how easily it can be put into use. A big focus of the shoot was our Slim Kit, a major step forward in making hybrid connectivity easier to deploy in real mobility environments. Compared to the previous version, the new Slim Kit has a much smaller footprint, integrates seamlessly with the Starlink Mini antenna, and can be fully installed and operational within about 30 minutes using standard passenger vehicle mounting hardware. That simplicity is a big part of our commercialisation focus. We want customers and partners to test, pilot and deploy the system quickly, without complex integration or long lead times. The solution supports 5G/LTE, NTN satellite connectivity, Ethernet and Wi-Fi, enabling resilient hybrid terrestrial and non-terrestrial connectivity in the field. And while we showcase deployment on a passenger vehicle, the same concept applies far beyond that. MOVE can be deployed across tractors, trucks, drones, forklifts, ships and other mobile or remote assets, wherever reliable, always-available connectivity matters. Some improvements in the MOVE Slim Kit we are particularly excited about: ✅ Fast mounting for rapid vehicle installation ✅ Ruggedised enclosure for use in harsh outdoor mobility environments ✅ Compact, fully integrated connectivity edge node ✅ Faster field deployment across vehicles and locations It is built for operational environments and use cases such as teleoperation, connected vehicles, remote machine monitoring and field robotics. We believe reducing deployment friction is as important as improving connectivity performance. For us, making the product smaller, faster to deploy and easier to use is just as important as advancing connectivity capabilities themselves. Because adoption starts with usability.

Joe Euteneuer liked thisJoe Euteneuer liked thisIntroducing our smart-switching solution MOVE 2.0 — the new “Slim Kit.” This week, our CEO Joe Euteneuer visited our Munich office, where our engineering team showcased the latest evolution of our MOVE platform. The MOVE 2.0 Slim Kit represents a big step forward in making hybrid connectivity easier to deploy in real mobility environments. Compared to the previous prototype, the new system has a much smaller footprint and integrates seamlessly with the Starlink Mini antenna. Using standard passenger vehicle mounting hardware, the system was fully installed and operational in just under an hour. The platform supports 5G / LTE, NTN satellite connectivity, Ethernet interfaces and Wi-Fi, enabling resilient hybrid terrestrial and non-terrestrial connectivity. Built for real-world mobility environments, the system supports teleoperation, connected vehicles, remote machine monitoring, and field robotics, enabling reliable connectivity testing and deployment in operational settings. Key improvements of the MOVE 2.0 Slim Kit include: - Fast magnetic mounting for rapid vehicle installation - A rugged enclosure designed for vibration and outdoor mobility environments - A compact, fully integrated connectivity edge node - Faster field deployment across vehicles and locations Great to share the progress in person and see MOVE moving closer to fast, real-world deployments across the mobility sector. A huge thanks to our engineering and tech team for continuing to push MOVE forward! 🚀

Imagine Wireless and our partners/colleagues successfully briefed the Federal Communications Commission earlier today on the value creation opportunity that #CBRS has created for the #aviation industry. We also provided our recommendations to ensure CBRS stays #Enterprise friendly. It’s clear that even more spectrum is needed for US industry to remain competitive on a global basis.
