When Sundays wanted to test their first Substack partnership, they didn't look for the biggest audience. They looked for a person their customers would trust. I'm proud that person was...me! In a new interview by Alexandra McCann, Sundays Head of Marketing Lisa Robinson and Founder Ashley Chang Dawson explain why they bet on a 2,000-subscriber newsletter (mine) over massive reach: engagement beats reach, and trust is the whole game. I can't hand a brand a million impressions. But what I can give them is a "room" full of (mostly) women who trust me. It's something I've built intentionally over the last year+ and I'm so proud of my community.
