What started with an idea to grow high school entrepreneurship in the Greater Cincinnati & Northern KY Region has hit its stride! Couldn’t be prouder of the work that has come out of a special partnership between the Leo H. Gerbus 53’ Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Keith Scheider at Square 1! We welcomed 35+ teams and more than 75 students, all bringing energy, creativity, and bold ideas to the stage. Events like this are a powerful reminder of what’s possible when education, entrepreneurship, and community come together! A huge thank you to: The incredible team at the Leo H. Gerbus ’53 Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at St. Xavier High School. Keith Schneider and his team at Square1, Inc. Our outstanding judges who generously shared their time and expertise. Mike Halloran shared thisWe are seeking two adjunct professors for two new courses in the Xavier Executive MBA Program. - One position will focus on teaching Innovation during Summer 2026. - The second position will involve teaching Leadership during Fall 2026. Courses are conducted for a cohort of EMBA students in four-hour sessions on Fridays or Saturdays via in the classroom (not online). Please reach out to me with any leads The students are looking for resources within the Cincinnati area to give advice and information about the process of sustainably recycling produce efficiently and profitability. For the juices and smoothies we thought of using the unused fruits and vegetables to create healthy juices or smoothies and sell them at local coffee shops, restaurants, schools, etc. For the banana chips and banana powder idea we had the thought of using their unused bananas into dehydrated banana chips to make healthy snacking options, which would be sold at the business listed above. Those banana chips can also be grinded down into banana powder which people can use in smoothies, breakfast meals, and baby food to give the extra nutrients and potassium. If anyone has ideas or information on how to efficiently and profitably recycle produce in a sustainable way, we would love to hear your insights. We are particularly looking for advice on the process of turning unused fruits and vegetables into marketable products like juices, smoothies, banana chips, and banana powder. Whether it's expertise in food production, connections to local businesses, or knowledge of sustainable practices, any input would be greatly appreciated as we work to support a local non-profit.

Mike Halloran reacted on thisMike Halloran reacted on thisI had the honor to paint a memorial mural with Nadia Namyar at the Xavier Art Gallery. I was fortunate to spend three and a half years with Kitty Uetz learning pivotal strategies for gallery management and artistic events. She was the director of the Xavier Art Gallery, led the fiber arts program, and was a staunch supporter of student creativity. It is because of her that I have the gallery operational knowledge and creative curiosity that allowed me to curate a wide array of group and solo exhibitions across Xavier University and the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center. It is because of her consistent encouragement, reliable support, and deep sense of care; that so many people hold her in such high regard. Kitty Uetz passed in December 2025. This memorial mural is a consistent reminder that communities are sustained through shared effort, creative mentorship, and the passing of ideas from one generation to the next. The pattern across the wall is inspired by her work that pulled from natural flowing designs. During each future event at the gallery, visitors will be reminded of Kitty's enduring legacy and contributions to everyone who was blessed to spend time with her.

Looking back at the last four years, this milestone is a reflection of incredible opportunities, intense learning, and the community that supported me every step of the way. My time in the classroom at Xavier University and through hands-on experiences truly shaped my character and sharpened my business skills! Mike Halloran liked thisMike Halloran liked thisI wanted to take a moment to reflect on and celebrate a few major milestones from the past year. In August, I graduated from Xavier University - Williams College of Business with my Master of Business Administration. I'm incredibly grateful for the experiences, challenges, and support that shaped me throughout the program. Thank you to the professors, peers, mentors, and everyone at Xavier who helped prepare me for this next chapter. Shortly after graduation, I began my journey with Pyramid Global Hospitality at The Lytle Park Hotel, Autograph Collection, as a Food and Beverage Manager in December. Since then, I have had the opportunity to grow quickly within an incredible team and was recently promoted to Catering Sales Manager. This past week marked my first solo week in the role, which was both exciting and rewarding; it reinforced how excited I am to continue growing within the hospitality industry. I'm grateful for the opportunity to combine client relationship building, creativity, and hospitality while helping clients bring their vision to life and create memorable experiences for their special events. I also want to sincerely thank everyone at The Lytle Park Hotel for the support, guidance, and encouragement you've given me over the past several months. I'm very grateful to be surrounded by such talented professionals who want to see each other succeed.
