Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) and Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN) have announced a multi-year partnership, naming Cisco the Official Enterprise Networking and Network Infrastructure Partner of the Kentucky Derby. The agreement involves a significant network refresh spanning more than 7,000 switches and a modernized routing fabric across all CDI properties, designed to deliver high-speed, high-capacity connectivity at scale for one of the world's largest sporting events. For the 350,000-plus fans attending Kentucky Derby Week events each year, the upgrade will support mobile ticketing, high-speed access to betting platforms, and real-time high-definition content sharing. For staff, it will ensure reliable point-of-sale operations for food, beverage, and wagering transactions at scale.
