NEET paper leak: No need for Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, action taken against culprits, says Ramdas Athawale

SRINAGAR: Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Saturday said his colleague, Dharmendra Pradhan, does not need to resign over the NEET paper leak controversy, asserting that action has already been taken against those involved in the scam. Athawale also urged activist Sonam Wangchuk to call off his hunger strike, saying the government would take steps to ensure such paper leaks do not occur in the future, according to news agency PTI."There is no need for Dharmendra Pradhan to resign. NEET paper leak is not a good thing for us, but it is not as if no action has been taken in this regard," Athawale told reporters on the sidelines of an event here. The Union minister said several accused have been arrested in connection with the paper leak case, including a significant number from Maharashtra."Wangchuk has the right to give suggestions on how to prevent paper leak, but there is no need for Pradhan to resign," he added.
